More Observations About Occupy’s Missing the Need for 5050

Excerpt from

http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/occupywithgenderbalance.html

The Occupy Movement has made initial strides to overcome the marginalization of women that has occurred in most decision-making, but there have been some criticism that it has not yet achieved this goal. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/11/the-occupy-movements-woman-problem/248831/ and http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/nov/30/occupy-wall-street-women-voices

Another occupy-movment-related attempt at representative governement, the Peoples Congress at ,http://peoplescongress.org is also forming. Initial attempts at informing the Steering Committee there have been underway, but so far, no commitment to gender balance has been made or publicized on their website. Input is needed now to insure that 50-50 gender balance, and minorities representation in a percentage about equal to minorities prsences in the population, occures at the Peoples Congress. Update: We are happy that Peoples Congress has formed a Gender Equality Committee. and has linked with Ark on the importance of gender balance/ It has developed a page for highlighting gender balance at http://peoplescongress.org/gender-equality-committee/

The recent MayDay protests failed to connect that the day falls on Beltane, the ancient May Holiday highlighting gender mutuality, and although they dealt with labor issues have not yet highlighted a gender balanced approach to economics that includes women’s unpaid work, home and community activity of both women and men, and the more gender balanced Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI), with a standard for gender representation, rather than the man-only-made Gross Domestic Product Paradigm (GDP)(see http://soularsolar.webs.com/aboutgendertender.html

The most recent protests in Chicago showed high profile activity of women, as in the efforts of National Nurses United to have their voices heard http://www.nationalnursesunited.org/news/entry/national-press-on-chicago-rally-to-tax-wall-st/ But the Nurses’ call for a Robin Hood tax on Wall Street (Ark would have preferred the Nurses called for a Maid Marion and Robin Hood Tax, to recall that Robin Hood relied on Maid Marion’s partnership for his efforts) has little chance of passage in a gender imbalanced Congress and Executive, and corporations. Only when Nurses, and women of all professions, and mothers at home all call for equal representation at all levels of decision-making will such solutions be given the seriousness which they deserve.

The Chicago Protest Against Nato and the almost Simultaneous protest at Camp David Maryland against the almost simultaneous meeting of the G8 both failed to highlight the total lack of gender balance in both meetings. Take a look at the picture of the G8 meeting and only one woman, Angela Merkel, is the only woman in a group made entirely of men, (many of whose governments, unlike Merkel’s, are nowhere near gender balance.) Similarly, a picture of the NATO Summit reveals a very large circle of men only http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/photo/2012-05/21/c_131600159.htm But the Occupy protests made no mention of the underlying gender realities in thie peace/war organization.

The Christian Science Monitor noted that the Nato Summit, which dealt with the future of Aghani women, contained so few women that it could not address this issue http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Foreign-Policy/2012/0520/At-NATO-summit-on-Afghanistan-few-women-s-voices-heard Amnesty International held a Shadow Summit, but its participants, Speakers and panelists include Afifa Azim, Executive Director, Afghan Women’s Network; Manizha Naderi, Executive Director of Women for Afghan Women; and IL Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, likely failed to grasp that the dangers ot Afghan woman and US women are linked, and due to an accepted culture of lack of overdue women’s representation/gender balance in both countries, and too many lands. (Jan Schakosky likely failed to even mention there are currently almost twice as many Afghan women in office than the number in the even more patriarchal and dangerous US Congress, and the current election will leave this world-endangering imbalance as is.) The Afghan women themselves highlighted the People’s Summit, which was also coordinating with Occupy,http://www.rawa.org/temp/runews/2012/05/17/a-summit-to-represent-us.html. The People’s Assembly http://www.peoplessummitchicago.org/ did have a fairly gender balanced panel of KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: Malalai Joya, former Afghan member of Parliament and internationally renowned opponent of NATO’s occupation of Afghanistan; Rev. Janette Wilson, Rainbow/PUSH coalition; Reiner Braun, International Coordinating Committee of the European No to NATO network; Kathy Kelly, Voices for Creative Nonviolence; death row prisoner Mumia Abu Jamal via speakerphone; Malik Mujahid, Muslim Peace Coalition; Medea Benjamin, Code Pink; Col. Ann Wright (ret.), antiwar activist. But nowhere was there any linkage that the problems of women are based in the underrepresentation of women in Afghanistan and those of women in the United States, and are linked with each other and too much of the rest of the world. In fact, the FLYER for the People’s Summit starts with an Afghan women, but then mentions only male speakers, and leaves out most of the women, especially the home grown variety. http://www.peoplessummitchicago.org/uploads/1/1/6/4/11649707/ps_poster.jpg But women’s rights are very much an American and whole world issue, now just as much as important and possibly equally or more endangered in the US than in Afghanistan, because Afghanistan has almost twice as many women in its Parliament than the US, with 27% compared to 17% (and neither meeting the bare critical minimum of 30% called for by 2000 the the UN Beijing Platform for Action for Women.

It is not enough to just have women on the menu, as they are at: http://cang8.org/protest-natog8-summit-may-2012-chicago/ at an activity connected with Occupy; they and the men must speak up for actual full presence of women with men in decision-making, or their efforts at peace come to naught. Women from Wisconsin took a beautiful intergenerational approach to the their presence http://occupywi.org/2012/05/women-in-the-streets-at-nato/, yet failed to hone in on women’s representation/gender balance as the fulcrum issue that determines war and peace and all human rights. Their women’s action was not even mentioned in the Occupy Wisconsin list of events http://occupywi.org/2012/05/wisconsin-goes-to-nato/, and there was clearly no Wisconsin men’s profeminist partnering to its importance in dealing with NATO, and all war culture/pseudogovernment.

Occupy Chicago does have a gender equity group http://occupychi.org/committee/27 It states: “We reject any and all restrictions to abortion access, equal pay, equal access to housing, healthcare, childcare, and other social services as an outrageous, governmentally-sanctioned attack. But it does not yet mention and call for full gender balanced representtaion as the critical mass need to defense against such attack. Women (and men who respect them) simply cannot protect women of any race or sexual orientation from attack without equal female/male gender representation.

Another Example of Occupy’s Need for Change Regarding Women

URGENT: Prevent US Phila-NY Gathering/March from Same Mistake Tahrir Sq

Sent to the Planners email address
info@occupynationalgathering.com, with many others cc.
No response was ever received.
Why is US Occupy in Philadelphia and New York, with the whole World at Stake,
Making the same mistakes made by the so far dangerously failed Revolution of Tahrir Square?
It’s Overdue Time to Transform it to the Real R-evolution Instead:

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/trudy-rubin/Egyptian-revolution-has-failed-women.html
“Women are now being marginalized not just by the SCAF ( the transitional military council ruling Egypt) or by the Muslim Brotherhood, but by the patriarchal mindset of our society,” says Dalia Ziada”http://interoccupy.org/egypts-elections-under-military-rule-join-our-resistance-to-the-counter-revolution-by-comrades-from-cairo/
“the discourse of the political classes and the infrastructure of the elites, including both state and private media, continues to privilege discussions” But even this article from Occupy makes no mention of gender. Will America also have that kind of failed Revolution, (and lack of evolution) or will America, and the world watching America, join the Real R-evolution, revealed in the attached picture and sound files of our Occupation of the fourth branch of government, Big Brother Media which has been retarding progress in the other three branches, symbolized on July 4th at the offices of CBS in Washington DC, with a sacred pots and pans announcement, and more pots and pans to save the real branches of government, the female and male branches of the Tree of Love and Live, also available from http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/Media2.html, and in the Declarations at
http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/occupywithgenderbalance.html#TransformGA
http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/DeclarationofbyandforWomen.html
http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/unandipu.html#UNgenderbalance
http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/usship.html#TransformUSAs Eldridge Cleaver made famous decades ago, “If you’re not part of the solution, your part of the problem”. Nothing could be truer of the need for the reempowerment of women and minorities as full partners in community and decision-making, in representation. The events in Philly pertaining to women’s representation which also protects minorities) were dangerously dilute and incompletely developed. They revealed more of the problem there in Philadelphia, than offering solution. But others in other cities of Occupy, and other democracy and women’s movements had your back, and made true R-evolutionary Declarations for July 4 and all months and days. You can join the real R-evolution in radio broadcasts and global teleconference calls. (see below)Left in the hands that planned the Occupy Movements events on the ground in Philadelphia, watching Americans and the world watching America must realize that this group of gathering planners people learned absolutely nothing from the events of a failed revolution in Egypt.  It is time for a big wake up call to the drifting Occupy Movement in the United States, and especially the ones who planned the events in Philadelphia and are conducting its March back to New York, on the female gender as equally important as the male.

If they can’t wake up now, before allowing Americans to face elections and media almost as gender failed as the ones held in Egypt, and focus as revolutionaries befitting a July 4th, on declaring free fair elections that bring 50-50 office to the  51%, women, and insuring the representation of minorities,  they are intentionally or not,  turning over America’s future to Big Brother, just as surely as Egypt’s ultimately female-compromising “Revolution” was turned over to patriarchal despots. Egyptian women themselves worked very hard for the Revolution,  but they accepted a far too low initial quota for representation, with little partnership support from men, and then even that small quota was totally erased. Are you sure that is what you want to settle for? Because there is no doubt about it, another round of patriarchy in the US,  (a far more military-industrial entity than Egypt) instead of gender balance, will destroy more than just one country, like Egypt. It will destroy the Planet Earth. It is like the weights on a scale. The abdication of responsibility to equally empowering and weighing the female 51%, especially in the coverage of the 4th branch of government, the Media, which was supposed to be run by all the people, female and male, results and tips the scales to domination in all the other three branches of government, and the abandonment, subjugation, impoverishment and ultimately, extreme environmental endangerment of the 99%, the 51% female and the 48% male on every derivative policy issue, (in fact, the 100%, for even Big Brother will die in the catastrophic events his rule will bring to the Planet Earth.)Several brave, globally and sacredly informed women developed truly R-evolutionary Declarations that were offered in advance of the Gathering, made available to the Planners of the Gathering and could have been discussed and adopted by the Occupy Movement on the ground in Philadelphia. These Declarations were read the Feminist Generaly Assembly to a large group of both women and men, but were amazingly never read at the General Assembly at the Gathering, and thus actually suppressed from any real active, timely attention, by the planners of Occupy on the ground in Philadelphia.  Also, not just a few, of those NOT in the official gathering planning group, but offering input to it, realized and communicated the need for the gathering to focus on the male corporate dominated conglomerated media, many of the companies which have headquarters in Philadelphia, see our list of Big Brothers at http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/Media2.html including their office addresses, for their failure to tell the stories of publically funded elections and equal office for women that have occurred successfully in many countries around the world, but not in the United States. This input has so far been ignored by the Planners of the Gatherings in Philadelphia. Will it continued be ignored in the March from Philadelphia to New York? The United States, already ranked a low 50% in 2000, now ranks 78th in the world in representation of women, 91st if you count ties, http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm  has less women in office than Afghanistan, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, even though many studies have shown critical mass  numbers of women in office prevents corruption, protects all human rights, and protects peace and the environment. Full representation of women brings forth a more egalitarian element of men. Women in the US are especially impeded from and disinclined for running for office, because the elections, as designed by generations of men who default to the most dominant in the male hierarchy,  require huge amounts of fund-raising, which only benefits male dominator media CEOs and no one else. Only 6% of media stories deal with equality for women, and almost none with a reality check comparing the gender and election funding situation in the US compared to other kinder nations. 65 nations have publically funded elections including free access to the media for all candidates, http://campfin.polisci.wisc.edu/Conf/LaRaja.pdf
another fact that Big Brother media has been willfully censoring from the American public, which is being led by the media like cattle to the slaughter, to accept a pseudoelection that will destroy the Earth.Yet, truly R-evolutionary Declarations fit for a really New Millennial July 4th, and the common sense recommendation of a sacred casserole, pots and pans protest on the Big Media offices in Philadelphia, that were repeatedly offered to all the planners in Philadelphia, were ignored without even the courtesy of response, in favor of, as far as we could tell from the schedule, an action for the 13% about aids, and an action in defense of one jailed protester. The female 51%, the fulcrum to protect the the 99%, indeed, therefore, the 100% were ignored and suppressed from active attention during the Gathering, even by the women, on the ground in Philadelphia, with the exception of the Feminist General Assembly which was separate and not equal with the Community Assemblies. Throughout the entire proceedings, not even one protest sign was made that protests America ranking 78th/91st in representation of women, not even by any of the women at the event. Will the current March to New York also fail to carry those signs, and will they also fail any stop off action along the way to protest Big Brother media, and action on Media when it returns to New York?

The fact that someone has noticed that the Occupy Movement has a woman problem is not new.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/11/the-occupy-movements-woman-problem/248831/

But it is in accepting and resigning themselves to this problem without fixing it throughout Occupy, and not focussing on the problem that exists in the larger society clearly enough, especially regarding the need for 50-50 in government and media,  that women perpetuated the problem, and inadvertently delayed a real R-evolution, even on the ground in Philadellphia on July 4th, which nevertheless has now begun, in other cities. We did communicate the Women’s and Gender Balance Declarations by phone to several women in Philadelphia on July 4th. So in a sense, they did find presence even in Philadelphia on July 4th, despite the planners’ sins of ommission.

The neglect of this fulcrum issue, that is the root of all issues, from banksterism/foreclosures  to militarism to inferrior healthcare,  to Big Oil, nuclear proliferation, and even the right to protest instead of have arrests and fascism, and so on, has been neglected. Instead every derivative issue has received action, like a blind man who can only see parts of the Elephant but doesn’t understand they are all connected. But the anthropological source issue that connects all issues, the real Elephant in the Living Room, imbedded patriarchy and gender hierarchy, has been mostly ignored. The name Philadelphia means Love (phileo in Greek) of the Sisters (Adelphe) and Brothers Adolphos). So, why did the Philadelphia gathering give such a pass on Big Brother Media, (many headquartered in Philly) which destroys any Sisterhood and true Brotherhood,  and promotes lesser of two, both very evil, elections, both? Will the March, and the return to New York, where most of the media have major offices, continue in the same patriarchy-induced denial mode?

Visioning would seem to have been more appropriate at the outset of the movement (and a wise men from Trenton and California Occupies have already recommend men in Occupy act like gentle men and “sit down so she can stand up” and the work of the Partnership Way http://www.partnershipway.org, available since the 1970′s), rather than the belated focus on Visioning on July 4th, which is meant to be a day of true R-evolutionary Declaration and Action, and was expected by many to be a day of Culmination of Visions and Declarations befitting a New Millennium (and it was, as the attached files reveal, but why did we have to do it without any conjoint action from Philadelphia?) If the Visioning did succeed, it would result NOW on a renewed focus on empowering women, and gender partnership, to avoid the whole host of derivative evils that both Egypt and America have been protesting, without seeming to realize it is imbedded habitual patriarchy that is producing them.
Will these Declarations of real women-reempowering/gender balanced R-evolution be reflected in the signs the Marchers carry and the actions they take on the March to New York, and in New York, which also must become a city that Loves the Sisters as well as the Brothers, as a central, essential theme. Will your signs say, “America should be the leader of gender 50-50, not the loser of rank 78th/91st. We Declare Gender Interdependence and Equal Female/Male Representation” Or will the American  “Revolution” of the Occupy Movement planners of Philadelphia and New York suffer the same fate of Egypt, (where brave women and men, and the 51% who did not vote in the pseudoelection) are still trying to reclaim a real revolution, that protects their and everyone’s representation, including in Egyptian Media.

Will the Occupy Movement, devoid of an overdue gender balance vision and any coherent protest on the Corporate Patriarchal Media, result in another world-endangering phony mostly male election, sold by and to the Media, and  “choice” between the “lesser of two evils” both of which are really the same evil, an unevolved default to (even passive acceptance) of habitual male preference in the functioning of media and government, instead of a focus on gender partnership? That’s what caused the failure in Egypt. It is currently causing the same failure in America, unless Occupy in Philadelphia and New York does something fully conscientious and intention to turn this around.
We believe women’s full restorative representation/gender partnership is the Sacred Key to true Sisterhood and true Brotherhood all over Earth, and now, the only way to avoid Big Brother’s destruction of the Earth.  We question the priorities of the planners of the Philadelphia Gathering for not giving it the uppermost overdue priority it deserved. If Occupy does better on the March to New York that connects it with Philadelphia, and it can still bring Sisterhood and Brotherhood to both and all cities.

The Marchers can even call from their cell phones into media offices, pick up some pots and pans along the way and when they reach New York, and make the sound of pots and pans being beaten over the phone, and say that famous like from Network, “I’m fed up and I won’t take it anymore”, and say, “We want the media to report on gender balanced free elections occurring all over the Planet and call for the resignation of your CEO.”, and hold a protest at every media office en route to New York, and in New York and Philadelphia both.  If not, it should stop pretending, and face the fact that Occupy’s planners gender practices and lack of true visioning, including passive self-cooptation of the women themslves to avoid the issue of real representation, are literally causing a huge swath of Occupy to inadvertently encourage Planet Endangering Big Brother. We are encouraging women and fair men around the country and world to call into media phone lines, locally and at Big Media headquarters, and clatter pots and pans from their kitchens, and from the trees of life in their yards. If you agree with the Real R-evolutionaryes, that women’s representation, full voice and gender balance is the central essentiall core of a sustainable R-evolution, please contact us, whether you are female or male. Post this good information to your websites and blogs now, and send us an email of Solidarity. We have many events planned that involve women and men in the US and all around the world, with some from the Occupy Movement, but also many women’s and democracy activists not yet directly connected with Occupy, and the Real R-evolution, which has started on July 4th, though outside of the official Philadelphia, awaits your assistance.

An Example Of the Occupy’s Need For Change Regarding Women

URGENT Time Sensitive: Occupy WallStreet South Press/Sins of Ommission Perpetuating Sexism at DNC

Sent to press@wallstsouth.org,  info@wallstsouth.org, general@occupywallst.org, press@occupywallst.org and never received any email response whatsoever

Dear  All Who Who Are Participating in Occupy Wall Street South:I want to draw your attention to an URGENT MATTER affecting occupywallstsouth activities Right Now, which I am prepared to make a public discussion on the Internet and with all including international occupys and other interested stakeholders if I do not hear from you about this immediately. I sent the following message (see text of original below, which has many facts Central to Effectively Protesting the Conventions) under the Subject Heading
URGENT Time Sensitive: What About Women? Press: Cannot Protect the 99% without Representing the 51%
to press@wallstsouth.org and info@wallstsouth.org on September 3 around 9:00 in the morning. I also called and left a message at both the main number  704-266-0362 and at Press 919-604-8167, which is Ben Carroll’s number. Ben Carroll eventually got back to me in a few hours, (I never heard from the main number at all) and I discussed the importance of these issues with him, and asked him to forward the email to the Planners who would be responsible, and the websitemanager, for urgent response. I asked him to include the issues about women’s 5050 representation, paid and unpaid labor, the lack of substantive family leave affectiing both women and men,  and the continued use of the GDP instead ot the Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI) and other facts specified below in what he says to the press.  He told me he had no aurthority to deal with this, but would forward the email to people who did. I asked him to either get back to me or have them get back to me urgently. He told me in the meantime to check the Call to Action, which does include women, and he told me that women were involved in planning the events.I checked the Call to Action, and saw it says “We want to see justice and equality for Black, Native, Latina/o peoples, for women and for LGBTQ peoples.” I called back and told him the Call to Action is itself sexist, and is undersestimating the importance of highlighting women’s situation to the success of Occupy, which to be a true Revolution must include a change in consciousness that must include pervasive gender realities. Women are 51% of the population, half of Black, Native, Latina/o peoples, and LGBTQ peoples. If Occupy WallstSouth  wants to see justice and equality for all people, it should be listing the largest underrepresented group, Women, first, and Capitalize it, the way you did all the others, or you are giving off subliminal signals of and perpetuating sexism. The text to the poster on the NY http://www.occupywallst.orgwebsite about the occupywallstsouth protest is even more partriarchal, and totally unaware that is is being so,  (read below). I am taking this issue up with them too, as it is central to dealings with this entire issue for occupy in this period between the Conventions, Labor Day and the lead up to the September 17th activities. After talking to Ben, I again explored the occupywallstsouth website again.  The only woman prominently displayed in the Why We March videos  talks about Corporate global warming, but has not connected that this issue is tied to the central issue discussed below,  of women’s representation http://legalplanet.wordpress.com/2012/04/09/will-estrogen-save-the-planet/ http://gas.sagepub.com/content/19/4/506.abstract?ck=nck , that is also at the core of all Corporate Patriarchy, which
is using the wrong economic paradigms and urgently endangering all balances on Earth.

I called Ben back and told him again that the website and likely his statements to to the press are doing disservice to women and their most serious representation and labor sitution (see below), and impairing the overall impact for change of OccupyWallStSouth . I also sent emails to Zaina Alsous, 919-757-1031, zaina.alsous@gmail.com Yen Alcala, 714-727-8129, ancientwizdom@hotmail.com, and discussed the situation with them briefly. I have not heard back from anyone since. I left a message with Ben saying that if I did not hear from him yesterday, I would be drawing attention to it to many others.

Joseph Biden’s biggest donor, Mastercard, has bankrupted even more millions of American women than men. You should focus attention to this during his nomination process. and  before and during their Nomination process, holding both Obama and Biden accountable to 5050 representation for women instead of the profoundly regressed situation described below, which the Occupy Movement, except for FemGas,  has been torally ignoring. Women are the Democrats (really Dempublicans) largest voting group. Are your going utilize the information below to the most dramatically impact the Democrat Dempublican enablers during their Convention and Nomination,  or are you going to miss the opportunity fo a lifetime to enact real REvolution?

Bell Hooks, a famous Canadian woman sociologist and feminist, wrote “Patriarchy has no gender”.  Both men and women can become enmeshed in perpetuating patraichy, without even realizing they are doing so.

I believe this issue is absolutely central to your success as OccupySouth  and that of the Occupy Movement.

Again I am requesting and urging that the march leaders,  website maintainer and press get back to me immediately asap today. Please read the rest of the original email carefully and forward it to as many people as you can. I and other progressive media will be communicating about this and reporting on this later today and tomorrow. We Want To Help You Hold Dempublicans feet to the fire with their largest voting group: Women. Please let us help you before you miss the greatest opportunity to fulfill your own goals about the oppressed. Your website will be there after the DNC ends. It must not be a
permanent contributor to underlying sexism and patriarchy, that is so pervasive you do not even realize what is it preventing you from seeing. IT MUST BE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD.

Please call me immediately to discuss this.

Here is the text of the original message:

I am a member of the Internet Press: I have a radio show , and may soon be interviewed by Amy Goodman  (and other  progressive journalists)  on the topic of women. the “election” and the REvolution, and actively communicate with women and men journalists who are covering women’s issues. I also am active with many women who have participated in the Wall St Movement, many who have blogged about the failure of the intended Revolution to include and focus prominently on women’s issues, not as a last or missing, but a first and essential priority.

I and others are very upset that your publicized activities at DNC thus far have been ommitting a most important matter: the total situation of women in the US.

I am attaching pictures which can be the basis of signs and themes you MUST prominently display in all your activities at the DNC tobor Day and all your activities henceforth, including what is on your website. what is photographed and videoed and what you say to the press,  or in the famous words, “If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.” (We will discuss this with progressive press if you do not immediately include the following):

These Signs and Themes Are:

Gender Parity Now/ 5050 Gender Representation NOW
Shame: US 92nd in Representation of Women, Less than Afghanistan, Iraq, United Arab Emirates
5050 Gender on Ballots/Women In Exec: Why Do Most of World’s Parties Say Yes but Dempulicans Say No
Count Women’s Paid and Unpaid Labor NOW, Use GPI instead of GDP
More Women Die in Labor in the US than in 39 countres.
Where is the Woman VP?
Wise Women and Men Who Love Them Won’t Vote Dempublican/May Boycott Election
Shame: Most of US and World Poor are Women

Here are facts and links you should incorporate;

At and Simultaneously in Connection with the Philadelphia National Gathering on July 1-4th, the Women of Occupy Started the REAL REVOLUTION WITHIN THE REVOLUTION that are necessary to make the REvolution succeed instead of fail.  They Declared, Read and Uploaded REvolutionary Declarations including:

Gender Parity Now is a Demand/Gender 5050 Representation is a Divinely Endowed Inalienable Human Right
(Executive, Congress and Judiciary Must Have Equal Presence of Women)
It is a Human Right to count the value of both paid and unpaid work/(use the GPI instead of the GDP now)
Balance Family and Work/(The US Must Have Paid Family Leave)
CEDAW and the ERA, updated to allow affirmative action and reparative efforts for women, should have been passed long ago

These demands have been heard and seen by many now, by hundreds of people, women and men, at the FemGa in Philadelphia, and now have reached and are reaching  thousands via the Internet. They are being widely disseminated. Your website should include them.

I and many other and fair men reading it are SHOCKED that the text and poster for Wall St South displayed at www.occupywallst.org reads:

“We say: YES to jobs, housing, healthcare, education, the environment, workers rights and justice, NO to wars, cutbacks, racism and bigotry, and deportations.
This is 2012, and there is clearly a war on women going on. Don’t you think it is a problem that your demands do not also include specifically
YES to full representation for women and minorities
“NO TO SEXISM, RACISM AND BIGOTRY”

Sexism affects women of all races, and immigrant women, too. That is even more people than all minorities combined. It indirectly effects everyone, men, too, and especially children. Let your website words and pictures show you understand this is so important.

Where does it say women’s organizations? We know Code Pink and other women’s organizations are involved. Why is women’s organizations not included?

The website says:
Here’s a few of the freedom fighters who will be joining us at the March: the ratio of listed  men to women is 9 to 5, not balanced.

You have protested against banks, Duke Energy, and ALEC, both of which are men’s clubs run by dominant male CEOs who don’t include enough women and respect women, who repeated studies shows are the strongest advocates for the common good when present in equal numbers,  as equal partners. Are your protests including that in the issues you address with the men’s club that actually composes US Corporate Dominator “Leadership”? Or is Occupy Wall St almost as gender hierarchical as CEO and ALEC apes?

The Occupy Wall St website says it is based on the Arab Spring:
“We are using the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic to achieve our ends and encourage the use of nonviolence to maximize the safety of all participants.”

Why is US Occupy, with the whole World at Stake, Making the same mistakes made by the so far dangerously failed (though starting up again now, again with many women involved)  Revolution of Tahrir Square?

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/trudy-rubin/Egyptian-revolution-has-failed-women.html
“Women are now being marginalized not just by the SCAF ( the transitional military council ruling Egypt) or by the Muslim Brotherhood, but by the patriarchal mindset of our society,” says Dalia Ziada”

http://interoccupy.org/egypts-elections-under-military-rule-join-our-resistance-to-the-counter-revolution-by-comrades-from-cairo/
“the discourse of the political classes and the infrastructure of the elites, including both state and private media, continues to privilege discussions” But even this article from Occupy makes no mention of gender. It reveals the same patriarchal mindset of US society.

500,000 women and men in Egpyt signed petitions for 40% women in office. US Media and even US Occupy ignored that. They should have asked for 5050, what women really deserve, and change would have happened. We are demanding this for them, American and all women NOW. We are copying this to International Occupies, most of which have far more women in office than the US, already.

If you don’t  make these changes now, watching Americans and the world watching America will realize that this group of event planners people learned absolutely nothing from the events of a so far failed revolution in Egypt, are not paying attention to Occupy and all women, and indeed, are mindlessly patriarchal themselves. It is time for a big wake up call to the drifting Occupy Movement in the United States, and especially the ones who planned and advertised the events in Tampa and Charlotte, and throughout September-November, on recognizing the female gender as equally important as the male.

If they can’t wake up now, before allowing Americans to face “elections” and “media” almost as gender failed as those in Egypt, and focus as Revolutionaries befitting a a Labor Day on declaring free fair elections that bring 50-50 office to the  51%, women,  as well as insuring the representation of minorities,  they are intentionally or not,  turning over America’s future to Big Brother, just as surely as Egypt’s thus far ultimately female-compromising “Revolution” was turned over to patriarchal despots.

It is like the weights on a scale. The abdication of responsibility to equally empowering and weighing the female 51%, tips the scales to domination and the abandonment, subjugation, impoverishment and ultimately, extreme environmental endangerment of the 99%, both the 51% female and the 48% male together, on every derivative policy issue, (in fact, the 100%, for even Big Brother will die in the catastrophic events his rule will bring to the Planet Earth.)

The United States, already ranked a low 50% in 2000, now ranks 78th in the world in representation of women, 92nd if you count ties (in the very year that is the 92nd anniversay of women being “granted the vote” by men)
, http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm  has less women in office than Afghanistan, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, even though many studies have shown critical mass numbers of women in office prevents corruption, protects all human rights, and protects peace and the environment. 65 nations have publically funded elections including free access to the media for all candidates, http://campfin.polisci.wisc.edu/Conf/LaRaja.pdf another fact that Big Brother media has been willfully censoring from the American public, which is being led by the media like cattle to the slaughter, to accept a pseudoelection that will destroy the Earth.

I am also addending: Your Website Indicates that for
September 4 – 6
Affinity group and other actions will occur. Please address these issues in all affintiy groups and actions held today and tomorrow.

Pressure on the DNC NOW, before and during the Nomination,  is critical ro your press coverage. Millions of people have noticed that they have failed to pick even a woman VP, let alone 5050,  and will vote third party or boycott for that reason, too. Are you saying that when you speak to the press? If not, it is a serious ommission regarding women snd their Labors. Joe Biden works for Mastercard, which has banktupted even more millions of American women than men. For much more information that can be shared with your press people and uploaded to your website. Please convey this to whoever needs to act on it quickly. today, or you are hurting your own cause.

We will not let you continue to ignore this. We will be checking back with your website(s) to see that these issues are dealt with with the seriousness and priority they deserve. Otherwise, Occupy Wall St is actually just as hierarchical and patriarchal as the Dempublicans and Corporations it is protesting. The Revolution.must deal with gender realities as a highest priority, or ir is neither Revolution nor Evolution.

Occupiers Are Learning 5050 Is Needed For Real Elections

The Declarations of the Women, with help of the Men of Occupy, reveals the truth that the planet requires 5050 gender balance in official decision-making NOW, to recover from millennia of imbalance, which has now reached a severe crisis that immanently endangers the Earth.

https://5050whatoccupyowestowomen.wordpress.com/ supports a total boycott of the US 2012 election https://boycotttheelection.wordpress.com/2012/08/26/boycott-the-election-to-save-the-earth/  as many Occupiers are already planning,

http://www.examiner.com/article/occupiers-burn-their-voter-registration-cards-protest
http://www.theoccupypost.com/2012/occupiers-burn-their-voter-registration-cards-in-protest/

to be followed by a citizen-called Constitutional Convention in 2013 that bring 5050, full representation of minorities, and removes money, itself based on gender imbalanced concepts of wealth,  as a factor in representation.

Here are the facts: (this  webpage may be copied and distributed freely):

This:

Or This

In the 92nd year since 1920 when an all male government “granted” women the vote that an all male assembly denied them in 1789, the US currently ranks 92nd (if ties are counted)/officially 78th in representation of women, with less women in office than Afghanistan, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates.  http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm  The “election” won’t help this, and may make it worse. The US media and politicians failed to cover the 1995 Beijing Conference Platform which called for a minimum critical mass for democracy of 30% women in all countries by 2000 http://www.uneca.org/ acgd/beijingplus15/documents/15YearReviewofBPfA.pdf, failed to cover the leadership of Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi in bringing women’s representation to India via the Panchayat Raj http://www.hindu.com/2001/10/03/stories/05032524.htm which already serves 800 million people with 5050 gender balance now, they failed to cover gender parite that brought 50-50 to every city in France brought about by Prime Minister Lionel Jospin and his wife Sylvia Agacinski http://www.observatoire-parite.gouv.fr/, http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/893825/posts:
Before the Taliban, women represented about 50% of the medical doctors and 40% of the government officials. So, [when] a meeting was set up of the warlords to determine who would be in the transitional government, tA U.N. official told me that eventually one of the warlords said, “All right. We’ll have the same percentage of women as there are in the U.S. Congress.” That level is 16%, just enough to co-opt women into a token level where they succumb to the imbalance, and legitimize the agenda of the Dominator males, the US warlord equivalent, and learn the dominator techniques, which they then use on other women. It is far below the UN guideline of 30% as a bare minimum critical mass in the ability to express or represent the female population and concerns.

The US (and similar corporate and male-dominated/female co-opting media in other countries) television and radio media and politicians failed to cover the gender 50-50 in Wales National Assembly brought about by Senator Julie Morgan and her husband Prime Minister Rhodri Morgan http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2003/may/09/gender.uk, they have failed to cover the one women for every man ballots of the Nordic countries since the 1970′s and their recent 40% requirement for women on corporate boards http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/21/business/worldbusiness/21iht-wbwomen.2.11315428.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all, the European Parliament, under EU Commissioner Viviane Reding and others http://www.europolitics.info/meps-back-quotas-for-corporate-boards-says-ep-committee-chair-artb331178-40.html, are already undertaking to attain 5050 in corporations, Europe, many of which have caps and much lower ratios on CEO to average people’s salaries (In Germany it is $650,000) than the US

In July 2012 on July 1st which is Canada Day and July 4th, women of Occupy, including me, Declared Gender Parity to be an Inalienable Human Right that benefits not only women, but men and children. http://5050now.wordpress.com/2012/09/08/5050-gender-parity-declared-a-human-right/ https://5050whatoccupyowestowomen.wordpress.com/2012/09/08/women-of-occupy-declare-the-right-to-5050-representaion-and-related-rights/
We ask all women and fair men to spread news of this, and use it to hold the Dempublicans feet to the fire. The Declarations also included the right to have a balance of love and work – having women’s unpaid as well as paid workd counted in economic paradigms, end to discimination against women, and a sustainable peaceful environment to be human rights. The Declarations are available at the above websites, and have been announced at Occupy Wall Street’s website.

A recent study showed that media spends only 6% of its time on women’s equality http://www.whomakesthenews.org/images/stories/restricted/highlights/highlights_en.pdf, and far less than even that, virtually at zero, on women’s full representation in office. The corporate media have failed to tell all the parties in Europe and worldwide that use voluntary standards http://www.socintwomen.org/en/quota.html and http://www.quotaproject.org/systemParty.cfm and the success of several African countries and Belgium, the Netherlands, Costa Rica and Spain and others in getting gender balance. They are not letting America know how far behind the rest of the literate world America has become, and how truly dangerous to democracy and the environment this is. They are failing to cover the 50-50 campaigns in England and Ireland http://www.countingwomenin.org/ and Europe http://5050campaign.wordpress.com/resources/about-the-campaign American women (and fair men) are being kept in the dark by the major media and both political parties.  A pots and pans protest in front of CBS headquarters was held on this, on this, announcing the beginning of a New Government that is gender balanced and fully representative, and the fact that 65 nations have publically funded election but the media, the 4th branch of government, never talks about it, and have an open letter online to their CEO, publicaly resigning him and will have other letters to similar CEOS online soon.openletterstochiefevilofficerss.wordpress.com

The presence of greater numbers of women is correlated with the protection of social programs, http://www.thecocklebur.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/One-2002-report.pdf, cut military spending http://www.public-consultation.org/pdf/DefenseBudget_May12_rpt.pdf spending and protect the environment
http://gas.sagepub.com/content/19/4/506.abstract?ck=nck , http://legalplanet.wordpress.com/2012/04/09/will-estrogen-save-the-planet/

While every scientific study finds both genders are equally intelligent, science has revealed that there are differences between the genders (see http://www.webmd.com/balance/features/how-male-female-brains-differ?page=3 and http://gypsumgirl.hubpages.com/hub/Gender-Differences-In-Brain-Development). The male brain is richer in gray matter, which holds more discrete information, problems solves well in isolated, especially hierarchical, situations and excels in spatial/technological intelligence, while the female brain is richer in white matter, better connected between right and left hemisphere, is better at integrating the connections of information, is better in long-term problem solving, heterarchical consensus-making, problem avoidance, and planning that is empathically sensitive to human beings and nature. (There are individual differences, too, of course, but these generalizations fit the majority of people.) Both forms of intelligence, female and male, have always been needed, but they are acutely needed now in full presence and cooperation to meet the demands of a technologically, socially, and environmentally connected planet. Because of their estrogen and slightly different brain structures than men, women as a group tend to be more collaborative and less hierarchical and more able to build consensus into their approach at decision-making than men, and as a group, are the natural peacemakers of the planet. http://www.negotiationlawblog.com/conflict-resolution/are-women-better-mediators-than-men
http://kathy-perkins.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/GENDER-IN-MEDIATION.pdf, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tabby-biddle/women-as-peacemakers_b_282997.html, http://castroller.com/Podcasts/StuffMomNever/2805590, http://www.euronews.com/2012/04/21/michelle-bachelet-women-are-peacemakers/.http://www.un.org/wcm/content/site/chronicle/home/archive/issues2011/pursuingpeace/roleofwomeninmakingandbuildingpeace  The lack of inclusion of a critical mass of women when decisions are made results in greater hierarchy among men, and when women are significantly absent, the most dominating and hierarchical men again ascendance, The equal presence of men is a protective factor for the more egalitarian men, too.

The lack of women’s representation has a cumulatively devastating impact on women and children.US Census Bureau reports that 17 million women make up the majority of the US poor (the number of poor people as a whole is also at its highest level for 52 years) in the US, http://www.legalmomentum.org/our-work/women-and-poverty/resources–publications/reading-between-the-lines.pdf and worldwide, 70% of the poor are women. Women are underpaid for paid work compared to men, and far worse, the majority of women’s work which is unpaid goes without any credit in the use of the outmoded GDP instead of the GPI (Genuine Progress Indicator, which does count unpaid work, and stewardship of nature, and other issues related to valuing the feminine equally with the masculine), Unpaid work is perhaps the biggest contribution that women make to the economy. In Canada unpaid work is estimated to be worth up to $319 billion in the money economy or 41% of GDP; globally the numbers skyrocket to $11 trillion US. Most unpaid work in Canada, the US and around the world is performed by women. In Canada, the 1996 Census was the first to collect data on unpaid work. Japan, Australia, Mali, Morocco, South Africa, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Palestine, Cuba, Ecuador, and many European countries, but not the US, have designed or undertaken surveys, but there is probably no longer a need for such surveys when the situation is obvious, unpaid work it hugely valuable, but totally uncredited by mostly male governmments and financial models still in use, causing millions of women who do a great deal of work, to live in poverty, and impoverishes children, too.http://www.nccp.org/topics/childpoverty.html. both materially and in time with their parents for bonding in the US, where the US is at shame in providing such little (weeks when other countries provide several years) and totally unpaid family leave (only four nations fail to provide paid family leave, the US is one of them, the other three are extremely poor countries) http://www.childpolicyintl.org/issuebrief/issuebrief5table1.pdf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parental_leave#Benefits_in_a_selection_of_countries Nearly 15 million children in the United States – 21% of all children – live in families with incomes below the federal poverty level – $22,350 a year for a family of four. Domestic violence in Canada, for example, is estimated to cost some $1.6 billion per year, while for the United States, the losses are as high as $67 billion http://unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0013/001377/137780e.pdf and 1 in 4 women has been a victim of domestic violence by spouse or boyfriend, with 2 million injuries from domestic violence a year.http://www.futureswithoutviolence.org/content/action_center/detail/754?gclid=CM7Pobe7o7ICFYSo4Aod6gsA4g. The situation at the “bottom” is connected to the situation at the “top”, and the “middle”. If women do not have adequate representation in decision-making, they and all there labors are seen as lessers, and they and their children become victims to poverty and violence. And when women are signifcantly absent and underrepresented, dominant men take an exploitative approach to Mother Nature and other men, as well as women.

Open Letter to Occupy Women and Men on Election Boycott and Gender Parity Declarations

Open Letter From Election Boycott Sisters and Brothers to ALL Occupy and  OWS Founders about 911, the 9/17 anniversary, and everyday from now until the socalled ” election”.

To: All Women and Men of Occupy

Their Equally Important Sisters, Female Cousins, Mothers & Women Colleagues & Phil Arnone and Kalle Lasn

We actively and urgently exhort the New York,  North American  and Global  Occupy Movement, including its most well known founders, to  stop missing the  Elephant in the Living Room of  nearly lost democracy, in North America, the so far failed US and failing Canada: the lack of equal gender representation  for women,  especially most extremely in  the US government,  and to  achieve, live up to, not reneg on, and meet its own pledge for equality in  decision-making, as the only way it will achieve all its goals  as a Revolution for democracy, and true service to the humanity of the 99% (and transformation of the 1% away from its current self-and-other destructive and  errant path of domination, that will destroy the Earth). by publically advocating an active  Boycott of the US 2012 pseudoelection, its lie-and-deliberately  half-truth telling TV and Radio Media, and a new period of Constitutional Conventions,  especially in the US in 2013, necessary to usher in a dangerously delayed New Millennium, under new paradigms of democracy and peace.

An Elephant in the Living Room is something so big that it is hard to not see, but, at least for a time, everyone doesn’t see it.

The intent of this Open Letter is to be constructive and catalyze a soul-searching on these issues by all Occupiers,  female and male both, to generate  overdue positive change, It is not intended to dismiss the importance or potential of the Occupy Movement, or deny its good intentions. It is given the spirit of mutual respect,  and we hope it will serve a Higher Purpose. It is our belief that  telling truth always brings forth good results. It is the suppression of truth that spells the death knell of any effort,  especially a real Revolution.

In all its most well known Marches and many more daily actions and announcements of reasons for a Revolution , the US Occupy Movement has never once publically  protested the fact that the US  Corporate controlled pseudogovernment, in the 92nd year since 1920 when  an all male Congress “granted ” women the vote that was denied them by the all male so-called founders in 1789,   ranks 92nd if you count ties (78th nominally) in the representation of women/balance of gender, with less women in office than Afghanistan, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates. http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm

Why do so few people talk about it? Because the North American culture itself , which falsely prides itself on world leadership for good, is deeply imbedded, largely because of its media’ s failure to report news on this over a 20 year period,  in regressed habits of patriarchy affecting the interaction of both men and women among themselves and with each other, and most importantly, during the period when Nordic Countries, India, most of Western Europe and many countries in Latin America and Africa were climbing out of partiarchy, the Corporate Media, (we have an open letter to CBS https://openletterstochiefevilofficerss.wordpress.com/, and will soon add more Open Letters to All Media CEOs) which most people , even many Occupiers rely on for information, deliberately censored this truly Good News, and now has marginalized it in such a way to increase women’s sense of futility and unnecessary gradualism and  disguised its critical importance to attaining democracy and reigning in Corporate Wall St manipulation of US (and Canadian) politics and social, environmental and war culture policies.

Note: At  the very moment we were composing this letter to OWS, the website of the IPU, the Interparliamentary Union, the sister organization to the United Nations, which keeps the monthly statistics on women’s presence in national legislatures, underwent a sudden and noticeable change: for 20 years, its main page had a clear and prominent link to the ranking page and a database about women’s participation and representation in every country (you can see the old page by searching for http://www.ipu.org at the Wayback Machine, it comes up with   http://web.archive.org/web/20110726185442/http://www.ipu.org/english/home.htm,  which is in contrast to the brand new watered down version http://www.ipu.org/english/home.htm The whole website has lost its vivid appearance and looks washed out and lacking in resources compared to the old version, which we have uploaded here, and you pretty much have to know the ranking page’s url http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm  already to find it quickly. The IPU is just down the street from OWS in New York.  OWS should ask them to join them in a protest on the Media.

At the 2012 Occupy National Gathering in Philadelphia and coordinated with a simultaneous cooperative effort for Washington DC starting at CBS headquarters , women of the Occupy movement Delivered Revolutionary Declarations on Canada Day, July 1st and the 4th of July, that Declared Gender 5050 at all levels of public decision-making office to be an overdue demand/Divinely Endowed Inalienable Human Right,, They also included other related rights to end discrimination against women via an updated ERA and CEDAW, and especially in the counting of paid and unpaid work (i.e . via the use of the Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI) instead of the GDP), the balancing of family and other work,  and other related rights, such as publically funded elections https://5050whatoccupyowestowomen.wordpress.com/2012/09/08/women-of-occupy-declare-the-right-to-5050-representaion-and-related-rights/

We asked that they be timely posted to the main website, but made them avaiable yesterdavy via the Form, in connection with the meaning of 911.
The Declarations have been circulating on many women’s blogs and websites, and emailed to several thousand people, male and female, and have  already received more support, female and male, than the 1776 Declaration of Independence did when it officially started the Revolution of those times. But we believe these rights are self-evident truths to billions of people,  to all people of justice and peace, and this is the heart of the REvolution for Humanity in these New Millennial Times. These documents together form the basis for a Revolutionary Constitutional Convention in Spring 2013,  and pave the way for a real election to be held in November 2013, to be organized by the people of North America, female and male, of all races, not the controlling hand of Corporations.

It is like the weights on a Scale. The abdication of responsibility to equally empowering and weighing the female 51%, tips the scales to domination and the abandonment, subjugation, impoverishment and ultimately, extreme environmental endangerment of the 99%, both the 51% female and the 48% male together, on every derivative policy issue, (in fact, the 100%, for even Big Brother will die in the catastrophic events his rule will bring to the Planet Earth.) But balance on the Scale bring forth excellent decision-making,  the fulfilmment of human potential and the sustainable peaceful caretaking of the Planet Earth and its future in the Universe.

The US Corporate Media television reaches into the homes of 300 million people for many hours every day, and is the chief agent of $elling the P$eudoelection, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of US Corporate  Patriarchy (until recently when Google also suddenly went into the business of selling pseudoelections – see Open Letter to Google  https://googlesmissingwomenandmengoodorevil.wordpress.com)

In all its marches and actions, OWS has never had any let alone a large scale action at a Corporate Media headquarters. We think it is time, necessary for September 17th and overdue. There are many media headquarters located in New York City,  The Black Rock Building of CBS (aptly named for CBS’s one (gender) eyed Cyclopic monster’s black deeds regarding all issue of democracy and particularly the representation of women)  http://openletterstochiefevilofficerss.wordpress.com/, and NBC Universal (we will soon have Open Letters for All Media CEOs0 are both excellent, appropriate and overdue targets for the March which carries banners that Say Boycott the Pseudoelection and Signs that Say 5050 NOW on September 17th. Many Media CEOs also serve on the Boards of the very Banks that Occupy has protested. It is time overdue to connect the dots, and focus on the Corporate Media,  particularly television and radio, which is literally daily brainwashing the American people to permanently (as as long as it can last before it destroys the Planet) accept a Corporate Dictatorship via this Pseudoelection.

The Occupy Wall St website says it is based on the Arab Spring:
“We are using the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic to achieve our ends and encourage the use of nonviolence to maximize the safety of all participants.” The Egyptian Revolution included an active boycott of  the Presidential pseudoelection, and a Woman’s Charter for representation. Why is US Occupy, in the country that puts the whole World at Stake, ignoring the model of, and not learning from both the mistakes and the successes of the Revolution of Tahrir Square?

In Egypt, a poor and backward country compared to the US and Canada, a country where many women still wear the Islamic veil (deprived of their ancient Goddess tradition)  and are subject to marriage at age 14, 500,000 women and men signed petitions for the Egyptian Women’s Charter demanding 40% women in office. US Media and even US Occupy ignored that.  Like the women of Rwanda did, Egyptian women should have asked for 5050, what women all over the world really  want and the minimum they deserve after Millennia of abuse and sanctions that kept them out of official decision-making. If they had had enough self esteem and insisted on 5050, change would have happened. We are now demanding this for them, for North American and for all women all around the world (We are copying this to International Occupies, most of which have far more women in office than the US, already.)

Partly because Corporate media suppressed News of the Egyptian Women’s Charter which would have received support from so many in North America had they known about it,  and partly because some of the so-called Revolutionaries were not grasping its importance, the Egyptian Arab Spring Revolution failed for the moment, and a pseudoelection was held and a male religious dominator was elected who is a puppet controlled by even more dominating military men.

But, in part because of the 49% of the people who boycotted the Egyptian  pseudoelection travesty,  the Tahrir Revolution started up again on August 24th,  but will succeed this time only if North American Occupiers do the necessary soul-searching on gender hierarchy, and focus on this gender aspect of Revolution, telling the women of Egypt that by the action of Women of Occupy in America, they now have the right to 5050. They must listen to the words of women and men in Egypt who wanted gender representation and to include a woman President:

“Women are now being marginalized not just by the SCAF ( the transitional military council ruling Egypt) or by the Muslim Brotherhood, but by the patriarchal mindset of our society,” says Dalia Ziada”

http://blog.enterplanet360.com/2012/05/why-i-boycotted-the-egyptian-presidential-elections/  A man states his reasons for boycott, including the failure to have woman candidate Bothaina Kamel on the Presidential tickets.

But, as some level, US Occupy has not been listening to the full picture, which includes gender as a primary focus:

http://interoccupy.org/egypts-elections-under-military-rule-join-our-resistance-to-the-counter-revolution-by-comrades-from-cairo/
“the discourse of the political classes and the infrastructure of the elites, including both state and private media, continues to privilege discussions” But even this article from Occupy makes no mention of gender. Treating  it like the Elephant in the Living Room that cannot be seen or discussed. US Occupy reveals the same “patriarchal mindset of our society” by its sin of omission from including gender hierarchy in the analysis of way the Revolution did not quite make it, (but still can).

NOW,  US Occupy must learn from the Egyptian Election Boycott and follow that good example. Every Occupier, female and male should reach out to  familycommunity, friends and neighbors and be able to say:  Occupiers are recommending the Boycott of the Election, just as the Egyptians did, and achieve even better than 49%, and we know we can do it,  given that 90 million Americans who have had no knowledge of the call to boycott are already saying  spontaneously that they will not vote in this pseyudoelection because it is too corrupt.

But just not voting  alone is not enough for a Revolution. There must be a plan for a new Constitution, just as there was in Egypt, and a TV Media  boycott (via not watching, and  buy nothing that is not a necessity) of the ad-money mad democracy-destroying Media (and if Google does not respond  and Yahoo News do not cover both the gender declarations and minority/majority  balance aspect of the pseudoelection, the Internet corporations as well)  that are $elling it, and a general strike, as Occupy accomplished in Oakland. But all the work must include attention to the lack of representation for women, and other related oppressions occurring in the US, which will very likely be intensified many times over by this pseudoelection no matter which Presidential Candidate “wins”. More details about Why and How to Boycott, and women as well as men (most of whom have written on the gender issues involved in this pseudoelection)  whose links are calling for boycottt,  is available at:
https://boycotttheelection.wordpress.com/2012/08/26/boycott-the-election-to-save-the-earth/
https://boycotttheelection.wordpress.com

We urge that all  Occupy General Assemblies discuss these ideas and suggested actions, and adopt them now. (Note: We have noticed that for weeks this website comes up on the Google Search Engine when you Google the search term Boycott the Election to Save the Earth, but does not show up when you Google Boycott the Election, which is obviously part of the title, is repeated throughout the website, and it should come up. We think it is possible that because it particularly targets women who are 66% of voters, and minorities, who are another about 25%, who the Dempublicans are particularly herding into the ballot booth to give this pseudoelecton the look of legitimacy, it is being held out of the url cue Google. We have an Open Letter to Google about this, and Google’s Evil and clearly not net neutral decision to suddenly go into politics, and display banners on their Search Page  with links to videos of Romney and Obama’s nomination, something they clearly did not do for Roseanne Barr and Jill Stein when they were nominated, and more  https://googlesmissingwomenandmengoodorevil.wordpress.com

An election boycott will help both Occupy and the regressed US society gain the time it needs to get its house in order on gender hierarchy and other hierarchies that are associated with  it, affecting representation, the core issue of a large democracy.  To fail to do this now, will simply result in the destruction of society and Nature, both, and destroy the Earth. (even the 1% itself).

These issues were aired in emails to the planners of the National Gathering in Philadelphia.  (check back to https://5050whatoccupyowestowomen.wordpress.com soon where exerpts from emails sent to Occupy about this will up available).  Again, in Philadelphia  and Simultaneously in Washington DC-Maryland, brave, globally and sacredly informed women shared truly R-evolutionary Declarations that were offered in advance of the Gathering, made available to the planners of the Gathering and could have been discussed and adopted by the entire  Occupy Movement on the ground in Philadelphia, instead of only the Feminist General Assembly, which neverthless did include both women and men in susbstantial number.

Yet,  not even one of these Declarations was read at the July 4th General Assembly at the  Gathering, because the woman who read them at the Feminist General Assembly, (which, again, was attended by enough both women and men to be counted as a General Assembly, and indeed, Feminist General Assemblies arose in the first place because many women in the Occupy movement felt marginalized in too many General Assemblies) was given insufficient support and recognition for this brave and globally important  act, and thus actually suppressed from any real active, timely attention for the larger General Assembly, by the planners and then most attendees of Occupy on the ground in Philadelphia.  No one was even ever told they were being simultaneously announced by a woman occupier in Washington DC-Maryland, who was a central figure in the majority approved decision to make these Declarations for gender parity,  in honor of the Independence Day period Gathering.

Also, not just a few, of those NOT in the official National gathering planning group (who, with no transparency, never even listed first names on the website), but offering input to it in conference calls, realized and communicated the need for the gathering to focus an action on the male corporate dominated conglomerated media, many of the companies which have headquarters in Philadelphia,  the name of which is Greek for Sisterly and Brotherly Love,  not Big Brother. (see list of Big Brothers at http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/Media2.html including their office addresses. On a planning conference call and with follow up-email, the National Gathering Planners were specifically asked to do an action on Big Media’s, to confront its  failure to tell the stories of publically funded elections and equal office for women that have occurred successfully in many countries around the world, but not in the United States.  (A follow up email was sent to the planning gsoup We will soon upload a copy of this email to this website.) Yet, this input was totally  ignored by the Planners of the Gatherings in Philadelphia, both with no response and no vote on it during conference calls.  Follow-up emails were again sent in time for the March back from Philadelphia  to New York, but were again ignored by the Planners of the March , which could have culminated in a March on Corporate Media, the fourth branch of government which is essentially controlling public understanding of the functioning  of the other three branches,  in NYC as a culmination of the July events, but didn’t.

The situation was just as bad in the work of the Occupy Movement in Tampa and Charlotte for the RNC and DNC. The most obvious Elephant in the Living Room  fact about these Conventions is that they are endorsing all male tickets, after almost 250 years of all male tickets. In addition, the races at all levels of their parties will again at best produce a gender imbalance of 16%/84%, unheard of in other countries. But with one notable and important exception, (the same brave woman who read the Declaration in Philadelphia), as far as we know, not one Occupier carried a sign that said 5050NOW, even though emails reached OccupySouth and involved organizations  about this in plenty of time to remedy the situation before the nomination speeches, and on the websites promoting the event in Charlotte .  Both women and men in the Occupy Movement were complicit in this, ignoring the passionately concerned voices of two Occupy women who attempted to raise the consciousness quickly by phone,  in the name of billions of women who have been unrepresented for thousands of years, but with never any courtesy of a response.

The Occupy Movement has made initial strides to overcome the marginalization of women that has occurred in most decision-making, but there have been some criticism that it has not yet achieved this goal. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/11/the-occupy-movements-woman-problem/248831/ and http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/nov/30/occupy-wall-street-women-voices

A similar pattern occurred in the Chicago May Day protests, which again, were protests, which unlike Tahrir,  Iceland’s Kitchenware Revolution, and every real Revolution, made no attempt to call for a new Constitution, and ask the present government to resign if it didn’t meet public demands. The May Day protests,  failed to connect that the day falls on Beltane, the ancient May Day Holiday highlighting gender mutuality of a Goddess and God, and although they dealt with labor issues – since May Day is International Labor Day – did not include the now well known gender balanced approach to economics that includes women’s unpaid work, home and community activity of both women and men in a balance of love and work , and the more gender balanced Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genuine_progress_indicator#The_components_of_GPI, with a standard for gender representation, rather than the man-only-made Gross Domestic Product Paradigm (GDP)(see http://soularsolar.webs.com/aboutgendertender.html

Announcement of the Gender Parity Declarations and why they are so important was sent by emails  to Occupy Wall Street in advance of 911,  with the subject indicating it was time sensitive, and stressing the relationship of gender parity  to preventing all variety of 911 emergencies that grow out of decisions made by mostly one gender. It emphasized the timeliness of posting it on the Main Announcement Section on 911.  It described the Gender Parity Declarations as one of the most important achievements of the Occupy Movement, and  we thought the Press Department would do a press release on it.  They still can. NOW.

When it was apparent that these were not included in the Main Announcements,  in honor of the meaning of 911, we took the step of publishing the announcement at http://www.occupywallst.org/forum/women-of-occupy-declare-gender-parity-an-overdue-h/  But in understanding of the  prima facie and self-evident central importance of this issue to people of justice and peace, let it be our public understanding that the essential call for gender parity, and change to economic paradigms that count the paid and unpaid work of all people,  especially women, and an end to all discrimination against women, via a non-violent Revolution, will appear on the Occupy Wall St Website today, and be added to the section which describes the Tahrir Revolution to one that includes not only the technique of non-violence, but includes a call for this time full gender represention, and boycott of on obviously 1% staged “election”.

This was written for the period between 911,  the number to call in an emergency – the anniversary of what happens when one patriarchal gender hierarchical culture attacks another patriarchal gender hierarchical  culture, – and 917, the anniversary of Occupy Wall Street. Since it aims to protect the 99% from the 1%,  it is high and overdue time that Occupy Wall Street paid attention to the fact that countries that are ranked highest on gender representation and grasp the importance of the 51%,  have the least income inequality, the most peaceful foreign policy, and the best protection of the environment.

Again, the recent similar  letters sent to both OccupySouth and OccupyWallSt.org about Charlotte and the DNC received no action or response, even though we asked that they be shared with everyone at Occupy, and obviously needed that priority of attention. (we will soon post excerpts at https://5050whatoccupyowestowomen.wordpress.com

We offer these ideas with great respect for the Occupy Movement and its ongoing potential. If Occupy, which claims it is a Revolution, doesn’t find ways to call for Boycotts of the Pseudoelection (the  website forum received posts about boycotts months ago on February 10 and again on August  26) as other Real Revolutions have done,  and make important changes now to include gender parity and related gender issue to its public agenda now,  watching Americans and the world watching America will realize that Occupy learned absolutely nothing from the revolution in Egypt, other revolutions, and are not paying attention to Occupy women and all women, literally, over half the human race. We have small scale progressive media, and contact with journalists interested in this issue.

This is not a gender blaming effort, We see the problem as an interactive one, including both too many Occupy women as well as men who, imbedded in the US Elephant in the Living Room syndrome, have not been able to see it, and (instead like the blind man and the elephant, have protested every symptom of patriarchal hierarchy without addressing the root cause.  Indeed, whether female/submissive/enabling/co-optation, or male dominator behavior or  just lacking in now required awareness (largely because a controlled media has been censoring global  stories on this for 20 years),

https://5050whatoccupyowestowomen.wordpress.com/2012/09/11/especially-for-women-are-you-declaring-5050-or-are-you-a-dangerous-woman/

https://5050whatoccupyowestowomen.wordpress.com/2012/09/11/especially-for-men-are-you-declaring-5050now-or-are-you-a-dangerous-man/

the pattern exists that the actions of Occupy have been missing the male/female gender hierarchy for a year, and have been, like their elder Dempublicans themselves, mindlessly patriarchal instead of egalitarian  on gender. And by the way, this Elephant is not a depiction of the Republican elephant only , but the Dempublican one, that has taken over the Democratic Party leadership, as well. It is the Elephant of One Party that is directly caused by mostly one gender domination, all too often enabled and submitted to as “normal” by too many the other gender, to the detriment of all.

Most people fall into these patterns by accident because of the imbeddedness of patriarchy, but with a little conscious effort and simple resources such as one of the Declarations abovehttps://5050whatoccupyowestowomen.wordpress.com/2012/09/12/declaration-of-transformation-of-occupy-general-assemblies-to-full-empowerment/, they can be easily overcome, as they have been in other countries.  But the Dempublican Elephants counts on women and men falling into these patterns, and thereby subverting their own freedom, to  fit in  with the habits of domination. Inadvertently , Occupy has done this, by alienating or marginalizing  many women from participation by not attending to the fact that male voices have been heard and heeded more often  than female in too many  GAs,  and not helping Occupiers like peace activist men like Anthony Edward Salter in teaching his “sit down so she can stand up” and other techniques to avoid domination habits. And women have to particularly watch the subtle tendency to subvert their own and other women’s  contributions, as if they were lesser than men’s.

It is time for a big 911 emergency wake up call to the drifting Occupy Movement in the United States, on recognizing the female gender as equally important as the male, to address the central underlying anthropological cause of the many imbalances in the United States and the world it is attempting to mold into total  domination.

Most Occupiers are young, They are not as entrenched in patriarchal habits as are their Dempublican elders, especially the 1%,  But if they imitate them without awareness, they only feed the very domination process that Occupy was founded to change. We ask that as in Egypt,  the call go forth from Occupy Wall Street to boycott the pseudoelection for a whole host of obvious reasons,  and especially to give all Americans of all parties and generations time to face their gender hierarchy, and bring forth a new Constitution like that of many countries, that incorporate gender and minority representation in their provisions, and the commitment to publically funded elections. If this positive response  to this Open Letter posted to the Occupy NYC and OccupySouth and all Occupy related websites,  Occupy will live up to its claim to be a Real Revolution that saves the  Planet. We think this should be obvious to true Revolutionaries, who say they are modeled on Tahrir, which again achieved a 49% boycott, and did address gender issues and a new Constitution in their agenda.

1, A public  endorsement of the Election Boycott, to be reflected on banners asap,  even for all actions after the emergency date of  911  and definitely for September 17, and all actions between now and the “Election”.

2.Immediate public  endorsement of the July 1-4th Declarations that all call for overdue 5050 Representation,  and other related rights ending discrimination against women and all their work, that recognizes their self-evident and REvolutionary Importance,  as an overdue right for women and men alike, that every study http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/Media2.html#The%20Biggest%20Issue shows protects social programs for all people including children, brings forth peacemaking instead of war in foreign policy,  protects the environment and an end to all the inquities affecting women, including in Occupy itself, and  a commitment to carry signs and give press release that call for 5050 now, and the related rights in the Declarations, starting now between 911 and the 17th, and in all actions and press statements prior to the “election” and until these rights are incorporated in a New Constitution in 2013.

3. We realize that Dempublican and Corporate operatives may certainly attempt to impede you in this. But, as Harriet Tubman, who repeatedly went back into the South to free slaves via the Underground Railroad from the South to New York and Canada, and was hit on the head with a shovel to stop her, and she kept going anyway, we think you will find a way to do this. As another Revolutionary said: “It is better to die on your feet than live on your knees”. This is especially true for women, who have been on their knees for several thousand years, and for men as full human beings,  in defense of the world’s and America’s most unrepresented, and most often poor,  women, who are also trafficked and subject to abuse, and this already pandemic will accelerate further if the US does not achieve gender parity NOW by 2013.

4. A March on the Corporate Media  Headquarters in New York and a warning to all Americans to turn off their TVs between now and November, until all the media misdeeds for 20 years are admitted in Truth and Reconciliation. Although some journalists will comply with orders to not cover this, others will literally give their lives to cover it. It will be the story of their lifetimes, and it will leak out, despite attempts at Corporate Censorship.

5. Ask for allies from the International Community, particularly Europe, both Occupiers and other human rights organizations, who  fear US Corporate Fascism and do understand the importance of balance of  gender in decision-making, and the foreign press.

6. Call Mr. Anders Johnsson of Sweden, Secretary General at the IPU, and Mrs. Najma Heptulla of India, former President of the IPU who still cares about the organizations,  and find out if the IPU is  under pressure from the US and monied regressive patriarchies  to reneg on their 20 year commitment to balance of Gender. Investigate the ominous and sudden change to their main webpage, which now, overnight,  hides the essential focus of their work.

7,  Publish this Open Letter to the Main Website, It will signal a time of soul-searhing in Occupy regarding women, so many who have participated in the Occupy movement, but repeatedly have let themselves and gender issue be marginalized and will honor both those women and men who have attempted to address the Elephant in the Living Room

Evolving from male over female, gender hierarchy – the power over  – instead of the power with, is at the heart of a truly egalitarian Real Revolution of a New Millennium  If  there are any in the Occupy movement, female or male,  who are unprepared to adopt these year long overdue and necessary actions, than they must be assisted to confront their own problem now. We can provide many resources to help them do this. And, they can read

http://arkearthinbalance.webs.comDangerousWomen.html  http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/DangerousMen.html

We realize that all Americans are terribly ‘dumbed-down” by the Corporate Media, that even many Occupiers still depend on for “news” and simply did not realize how far behind the US is compared to other literate countries on this issue.  But by not addressing these issues on its website, in all its actions, and in its press releases for a year, Occupy has inadvertently entrenched domination culture in the US, instead of changing it.

We are also sending copies of this to the email addresses we found for Phil Arnone and Kall Lasn, and ask that they share this with both the women family and colleague Occupiers  in their lives, as well as with women in countries  like Sweden and Nordic Countries, Wales,  and Rwanda, the many countries whose parties have adopted 5050,  and large jurisdictions (such as all the villages of India, serving 800 million people), all the cities of France  and many more. We will be happy to assist you with additional background.

Big Brother may try to stop this, but we think that attempt will backfire. 5050, and an end to the hundreds, indeed thousands  of years of discimination against and domination of women must end NOW.  It is like a litmus test for human Evolution. Every soul is weighed in the balance on this issue. Anyone, male, or female, who cannot openly say 5050NOW and Boycott the Election  and put it on their webpostings and banners at actions has let US media crimes turn them into a 92nd ranking regressed and  Dangerous Women or a Dangerous Man,  Dangerous to Democracy and the Planet Earth at this moment in herandhistory.

The choice is between the first picture (if New York and the Earth will look even that good without 5050 NOW) , or the second two:

Declaration of Transformation of Occupy General Assemblies to Full Empowerment

Declaration of Transformation of Occupy General Assemblies to Full Empowerment

The current cofacilitation model of rules for Occupy Wall Street and General Assemblies of the Occupy Movement do call for shared 2 person Assembly Co-facilitation of consensual and democratic voting decision-making, but, unlike the Green Party, which has generally instituted gender balanced meeting co-facilitation by one female and one male for many years, the Occupy Movement has missed this reparative and democratically necessary feature thus far for its General Assemblies. We and others urge the Occupy Movement around the world to institute a clear gender coleadership model to facilitation of its General Assemblies, and also seek out minority coleaders and participants for presence equal to their presence in the local population. General Assemblies should also discuss and consider options such as “stand down so she can stand up” and/or a live or later outreach telecommunication connection to women and minorities if needed to insure gender balance and minority representation in GAs. In addition, the roles of Stack and Timekeeper at GAs should also be gender balanced.

Note: This should not be interpreted to deny the need for female coleadership and female majorities (and these should seek out minority presence) at Feminist GAs or Female Caucuses, which are a necessary adjunt and reparative empowerment of women, and their work actually then contributes to and produces better results at the whole gender balanced community General Assembly

Occupy Financial Operations shall use a concept of complementary or accompanying community currency in all transactions, using a currency based on the Genuine Progress Indicator, which includes the value of unpaid work in the home and community and to protect the environment and peace, which is disproportionately done by women, and indicator of balance of gender in decision-making, and these shall be eventually merged into a reminder tender of balance and planetary interconnection, which actually eliminates the need for actual money, and allows all to share real wealth, instead of the false hoarded wealth, which is an illusion that resulted from gender and related false hierarchies, that did not include the work of women, especially, the work done in family and community by both women and men, and value of Nature. All this tender can depict the Tree of Love and Life with the Earth at the Center and surrounded by other Planets and stars, female and male faces of all races, and bear the words, In the Universal GoddessGod We Trust.http://soularsolar.webs.com/aboutgendertender.html And/or for convenience, in the US, where the currency currently only shows a white male patriarchal hierarch, it can simply be transformed by doing a drymark strike out mark over the hierarch’s picture, and on each side depicting a female and male simply (the circle with cross and the circle with arrow). and draw cashiers attention to this. Checks can have the words “Use the GPI instead of the GDP” in the Memo. Electronic Transactions should be accompanied by the words “Use GPI instead of GDP” in the email address, and Credit Card Corporations should be Invoiced using techniques such as http://thesacredaccounting.webs.com/HerandHisSacredInvoice.pdf

The United States National Region and all its Financial Corporations (as those of all Nations, shall use a currency based on the Genuine Progress Indicator, updated to include the value of unpaid work in the home and community to protect the environment and peace, which is disproportionately done by women, and and indicator of balance of gender in decision-making, that shall eventually be merged with those of all regions, into a tender which is actually just a reminder of gender balance, the balance of love and work and natural interconnection, and synergistically results in the elimination of all money, and allows all to share real wealth, instead of the false hoarded wealth, which is an illusion that resulted from gender and related false hierarchies, that did not include the work of women, especially, the work done in family and community by both women and men, and value of Nature. All this reminder tender shall depict the Tree of Love and Life with the Earth at the Center and surrounded by the Sun. Moon, other Planets and Stars, female and male faces of all races, and bear the words, In the Universal GoddessGod We Trust.

Note: This shall not be construed to prevent an any interim provisional transitional government in which women brieflly comprise the great majority if that is necessary as a preliminary step to call forth enough men who will publically endorse and act as representatives in gender balanced bodies. It shall be understood that all people on Earth, and especially those in the United States, which is a melting pot of all origins, are related a surprisingly few generations back, and are in fact, distant cousins and spiritual Sisters and Brothers in a circle, because their parents or other relations are or were cousins as well as Sisters and Brothers in the same interconnected circle, whether large or small, and all people are related. Every person shall strive to know the names, including unmarried names of women , in their family trees back to at least three generations and much further back if possible to ancient days, and reenvision all these females, and the males of their family trees, as if they had been considered equal in all status, including political, with all people on Earth during their lifetimes, and shall consider them to have been their intergenerational Sisters and Brothers, wherever on Earth they lived, uniting the US National Region with its human herandhistory of origins and migrations on the Planet Earth.

It is a task of the national Regional legislature to assist the United States in learning a universal language for planet Earth, such as Esperanto, which shall not replace but accompany the English language, which shall also be preserved in the National Region and as a world language, but now also connected non-hierarchically with a Universal language drawn from all languages, to be also used in all the National Regions of Earth.

Note: This Declaration was Delivered  by Dr. Rajchelle OneFamily Miller, a woman of the Occupy Movement, on July 1st  and July 4th 2012 in Washington DC-Maryland.  It  is a shorter version derived  from an original precursor Declaration: http://www.oocities.org/theuniversaldeclaration/thedeclaration.html The Universal Declaration of Gender Interdependence in Balance for Good Government, a model for all nations. Declared in time for EarthDay 2002

Especially for Men: Are You Declaring 5050NOW, or are You A Dangerous Man?

Dangerous Men (Why Some Men  Endanger the World including themselves, by Failing to Speak Up for Women’s Overdue 5050)
Viewpoints of Progressive and Independent Men (and Women Who Love Them)

Many places on Earth already have 5050, protecting women, families and children and men themselves, justice, the environment and peace on planet already endangered by millennia of domination culture. The world will very soon self-destruct without it.  Why do some men hesitate and fail to speak up for it?

This is A Section of the Whole Gender Hierarchy Reality that Endangers Earth,
which are to both be read as a suite: Dangerous Men, Dangerous Women

Thus, There is a companion webpage to this one, called Dangerous Women http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/DangerousWomen.html
The situation is interactive. Both genders, some wittingly, some unwittingly perpetuate patrarchy, Perpetuating Patriachy Now, instead of Partnership and Gender Parity, is the greatest and most Immanent Threat to the Planet Earth

Although they don’t like to admit it, many women believe that many men don’t love and respect them as equals. This causes severe psychological problems in women,\r which in turn, actually endangers men, and children as well. You can read about these problems in women at: You have a special responsiblity NOW to help women overcome generations of second class citizenship and societal status, in order to save the Earth.

Men have a special responsibility to help this situation, or they become almost like slave-owners who failed to realize the need to voluntarily free their slaves, and also blind to what is in their own and their children’s best interest. http”//www.un.org/womenwatch/daw/egm/men-boys2003?connell-bp.pdf Unlike Rajiv Gandhi, Lionel Jospin, Oscar Arias, Rhodri Morgan, Desmond Tutu (who has publically called for a REvolution, especially by women), every Swedish and Nordic leader, Jose Zapatero, Bernard Lietaer, and other well known male leaders, neither Obama http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/08/24/presidential-proclamation-women-s-equality-day-2012 nor Biden nor Bill Clinton (and not even Hillary and Michelle and the 16% women Senators and Congresswomen, who are deeply imbedded in being puppets of Corporate Patriarchy/Oligarchy, have ever once mentioned the urgent overdue need for gender 5050 in government, or even publically addressed the current rank of the US on women\rquote s representation compared to other countries as a problem, which is, in the 92nd year since men “granted” women the vote, 92nd if ties are counted (78th), less than Afghanistan, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates). http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm 16% tokenism and patronizing empty promise pandering is not balance: Unlike Nordic and African Countries, Spain and France and others, not even the Cabinet has anything near 5050! http://www.thenewagenda.net/2009/01/24/does-obamas-cabinet-look-like-america These 10 men of the Cabinet Timothy F. Geithner, Leon E. Panetta, Eric H. Holder, Jr. Kenneth L. Salazar, Thomas J. Vilsack, Shaun L.S. Donovan, Ray LaHood, Steven Chu, Arne Duncan, Eric K. Shinseki don’t seem to think anything is missing, with only 4 women, Rebecca Blank, who is a temporary appointment only, Hilda L. Solis, Kathleen Sebelius, and Janet A. Napolitano. And unlike many countries, there is no Minister of Women, Families and Children, at all). Geithner in particular was criticized for his recommendations of bank bailouts, and there are still no caps on the salaries of US CEOs, even though Obama once promised that in his first State of the Union address but was induced to forget it, let alone efforts to credit the value of women’s unpaid work, as Canada, and many other countries did and are exploring doing, including switching to the GPI instead of the GDP. (Obama made no mention of the fact that the US was 92nd in gender balance in his State of the Union address; apparently, he didn’t think it was important).

This is occurring while the US Census Bureau reports that 17 million women make up the majority of the US poor (the number of poor people as a whole is also at its highest level for 52 years) in the US, http://www.legalmomentum.org/our-work/women-and-poverty/resources–publications/reading-between-the-lines.pdf and worldwide, 70% of the poor are women. Wome are underpaid for paid work compared to men, and far worse, the majority of women’s work which is unpaid goes without any credit in the use of the outmoded GDP instead of tje GPI (Genuine PRogress Indicator, which does count unpaid work, and stewarship of nature, and other issues related to valuing the feminine equally with the masculine), Unpaid work is perhaps the biggest contribution that women make to the economy. In Canada unpaid work is estimated to be worth up to $319 billion in the money economy or 41% of GDP; globally the numbers skyrocket to $11 trillion US. Most unpaid work in Canada, the US and around the world is performed by women. In Canada, the 1996 Census was the first to collect data on unpaid workJapan, Australia, Mali, Morocco, South Africa, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Palestine, Cuba, Ecuador, and many European countries, but not the US, have designed or undertaken surveys, but there is probably no longer a need for such surveys when the situation is obvious, unpaid work it hugely valuable, but totally uncredited by mostly male governemments and financial models still in use, causing millions of women who do a great deal of work, to live in poverty. If women do not have adequate representation in decison-making, they and all there labors are seen as lessers, and they become victims to poverty and violence.

Other countries clearly have no difficulty in finding qualified women for office, and heeding more of their input. Is this the best American supposedly women-friendly Democratic men of “power” can to toward the 51% of the population is female? Is this the model for men that American men really approve of? And, this trend invites further regression that immanently Endangers the Planet it will be certainly just as bad if not worse under Romney-Ryan, but Republicans will will many Governorships and Senate seats in the “auction” held by the CEO Media, and they are already turning on women. Is this all America can offer man as a model, the status of choosing “the lesser of two evils”? What is preventing America from having a government with men who can share the same level of equality as now many other countries, when many observers feel that the balance of gender in decision-making is the critical balance to save the Earth from social, economic, and environmental collapse and nuclear war? Would gender equality finally end the years of “lesser of two evils”; the culture and media of Corporate Bullies, and finally, bring about The Greater Good, for all men, as well as women, and their children female and male?

At the moment,American men, in large part, must look to Europe and Africa for high ranking political role models on gender partnership and elections. But the safety of the planet Earth and social equity for men is also at stake, in dealing with primative CEOS that are allowed by these politicians to earn 550-2500 times the average man’s wages. Women are men’s best allies in the struggle for universal equality. So, additionally in their own best interest, even men must Demand Gender Parity NOW and Think for Themselves instead of acting like male primatives or lemmings, following both dominant men and dominant but tokenized women over the cliff for the fall from which the Planet will never recover.

Several REvolutionary Declarations wrought by Women (with the help and encouragement of men of the Occupy Movement) have now made it easy to do this.

But, what has caused this crisis and failure in the leadership of American men?

There is a psychological phenomenon called selective inattention:
selective inattention,:
\par the screening out of unwanted stimuli, particularly the part of a message the listener does not want to hear.:

http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/selective+inattention:

denial:

\ Etymology: L, denegare, to negate\ :
an unconscious defense mechanism in which emotional conflict and anxiety are avoided by refusal to acknowledge those thoughts, feelings, desires, impulses, or facts that are consciously intolerable.

Most American men are literate. Most know how to use a search engine on the Internet, and find out what other countries have done. many which put the US to total shame. http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm But what is the selective inattention that keeps millions of Americans from finding this website, and discussing it? What are the psychological and sociological factors of internalized patriarchy that induce and compel them to accept an “election” that that fails at gender equity and poses such obvious and overwhelming threat to half the human race, and indeed, all of it, and All Life on Earth?

Interactively, Internalized and Externally Maintained Patriarchy:

Receptive/Passive Internalized Patriarchy and the Unconsious and Overwhelming need for Missing and/ Powerful Father Figures :
Patriarchy does not necessarily come naturally. Many ancient societies, such as the ancient Minoans believed to be the source of the Atlantis myth, practiced successful gender partnership/egalitarianism and were successful seafaring, agricultural and commercial powers. But Western Culture has practiced patriarchy for many generations, even though there were always elements of equal partnership under the surface. What is undermining the transition to partnership? Many American men grow up in homes where their fathers are so busy working and entertaining themselves with sports in their small amount of free time, that they have little time to spend with children, even sons and especially daughters. Unlike 178 other countries, in the US, there is no family leave for these men, just as there is virtually none for their wives. Where bonding does occur between fathers and sons is often treated as more important than the bonds of the women in the family, and is often done without acknowledgement of emotions, and is done around corporately-owned sports, and often quite corrupt and exploitative politics and business pursuits in which women are missing (but this is normalized and not commented on .) The nuclear family separates men (and women) from contact with extended family. Other men are children of divorce, and separated from their fathers. Obama himself is an example of this. These men grow up father-hungry, and too willing to follow men who they perceive as “powerful” and are unable to hold men accountable for misdeeds, particularly toward their mothers and women, which their younger generations are forced to overlook, at great ‘destruction to their own standards of balance, their awareness of their own and other people’s emotions, and ethics.

Obama’s own father-hunger makes him more manipulable by aggressive CEOs, with whom he seeks to curry approval both emotionally and for campaign funds. In many older generation families, men are seen as more “powerful” than women. Men are further confused by mixed signals from mother’s and sisters who became adjusted or resigned to the status quo, and women’s groups that have lost their way. Such groups, like NARAL, which endorsed Obama over Hillary Clinton, and now, to willing to endorse Obama-BIden. without holding these “powerful” men accountable for even talking about 5050, and European levels of family leave, amidst alarmingly frequent bankruptcies and poverty among women and men both. Unlike independent women who are largely sitting out this election, groups like NARAL give their endorsements even though they know that Obama and Biden work for even more alpha-male CEOs who give little care to underpaying and laying off male and female employees, both. America is more capitalistic than more gender balanced countries of at or approaching 5050 Europe, Canada (whose Senate is 35% female), African (several at 5050) and Latin America, and only in the US do some CEOs earn 550-2500 times the average man’s wages, while in other countries it ranges from 12-50 times, and may countries cap excessive compensation, and tax hoarded wealth more highly. But older generations fathers (and mothers) seldom discuss this with their sons, they simply accept it as “normal”. Polticians, CEOs and sports figures who earn large salaries are frequenlty discussed, but examples of selflessness and ethical behavior, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Thomas Paine, Jesus, Prince Siddhartha who renounced great wealth to become Buddha, John Stuart Mill, Frederick Douglass and other men who actively sought equality for women, too, are seldom discussed in hundreds of millions of American families. Many men are deeply uncomfortable with the US greed and domination culture, but in many family conversations, it is treated as “normal”, and encouraged to passively follow leaders who accept and/or promote it.

Men are subtly encouraged to think of male privilege as a birthright, of inequality as normal and as an inevitable fact, or something that women will change one day, but that change has nothring to do with them Once they accept this at these times on Earth, they become Dangerous Men.

Problems in their Relationship to their Own Mothers that make them either reject/abuse women or overidealize Titular Women Tokens without full equality for women :
Because we have been and are still living in patriarchy instead of balance, many mothers, and feminine traits of nurturing and empathy are perceived by children to be less important than mastery and independence, traits associated with men. Some men have overintense and conflictual relationships with their mothers, in part because their fathers were either absentee emotionally, or undermined their mother’s authority. Nevertheless, male children need and love their Mothers. Men love their sisters, and marry women who they love. But they may learn emotional distancing to cope with the comlexity of women living within patriarchy. But often even these women are so overwhelmed by the thousands of years of patriarchy and some resigned to it, they accept women leaders that are resigned to it, and they do not know how to ask men for help in their struggle, and if they do, are sometimes undermined by fathers, brothers (often older brothers) and uncles (and in some cases mothers and aunts) who are habituated to patriarchy instead of partnerhip. To help their mothers, sisters and wives attain equality, including real family leave that would allow them to spend more time with children and husbands at critical periods, and help the men of their families show greater involvement and empathy for women’s issues and strengths, men need resources of other men who are doing the work of building a more equitable world for both genders. Such resources do exist, and are worldwide, (see below) but they are never talked about by politicans, CEOs or in Corporate Media. Men sometimes, not only have to challenge father figures, but also some mother figures, on their habituation to patriachy. Some men have mothers who give their sons male preference over their own daughters, the mens’ sisters. Men have to call attention to this if it is happening, and tell their sisters and mothers they are both needed to work together for gender parity NOW, and recognize their own and all women’s importance, in a context of full pairity.

Active Identification with the Aggressor
Some men become so eager to please “powerful father figures” while distancing emotionally from mothers who they perceive as weak, that they learn techniques of domination, conning, control, manipulation and exploitation that they use not only on women, but with each other. Corporate CEOs and Republican leaders who evidence this pattern most obviously are nevertheless enabled by Democratic men, who are still somewhat tolerant with boys-will-be-boys-gender domination, but less markedly than Republicans/top Dempublicans. Dempublican men like the Bill Clintons (the son of a bigamist and the step-son of a wife abuser) and John Edwards, and all the “we’ll protect you from the Republicans” top Dempublican men who couldn;t find a woman, (it didn’t need to be Hillary), in 2000, 2004, 2008 and now in 2012, are the seductive unfaithful boyfriend-husbands that keep the “men-are-more-powerful-and-important-so-we-don’t ever-talk-about -5050-game on women in place, while Republicans are the active rapists of all women’s rights, and the Corporations rape the earth. Both these types of men are profoundly destructive to women, even their privileged wife tokens, and are very close to having lost their souls entirely, and are becoming more and more like each other. While Men who are in this game are so taken with the game that they do not notice they are destroying thieir whole society, the economy of most citizens, the lives and futures of their children, and the environment. They use extreme selective inattention and denial to avoid facing these consequences of their behavior. The aim of this game is win-lose, not win-win. You can read more ot their names on the CEO database at afl-cio.http://www.aflcio.org/Corporate-Watch/CEO-Pay-and-the-99/CEO-Pay-Data-Sources/CEO-Pay-Database-Terms-And-Data-Sources They control the mostly enabler men of both political parties, because they are willing to play their game by keeping out 5050 with women, who studies show are, in part because of differences in brain structure and hormone balance, less ego driven, and oriented to the general good/less corruptible, and more collaborative, better at peace, and protection of the environment, and when present in sufficient number, lead men in this direction as well, As a more primative animal, these men have trouble finding the turn off switch. They don’ t seem to understand that their imbalance is causing an unsustainable social, economic and enviromental situation of immanent collapse, in which all they can hope for is to “die on top” while they kill everyone else. \b0

Most men, especially men under 60, although somewhat comfortable with male privileges that they enjoy, are positive about equality for women, and many actively want them as coleaders. The key element for men to help women, save peace, save the environment, save the economy and create a future for children is to share decision-making and familycommunity life knowing that women are a bit different then men, but indispensable to them and the balance of the world. The Rio de Janeiro MenEngage Declaration
“We are outraged by the pandemic of violence women face at the hands of men, by the relegation of women to second class status, and the continued domination by specific groups of men of our economies, of our politics, of our social and cultural institutions. We know that among women and men there are those who fare even worse because of social class, religion, language, physical differences, ancestry and sexual orientation. We also know that many men are victims of violence at the hands of other men. As we acknowledge the harm done to too many women and girls at the hands of men, we also recognize the costs to boys and men from the ways our societies have defined men\rquote s power and raised boys to be men. Too many young men and boys are sacrificed in wars and conflicts for those men of political, economic, and religious power who demand conquest and domination at any cost. Many men cause terrible harm to themselves because they deny their own needs for physical and mental care or lack health and social services.”

From http://elhum.com/publications/womens%20studies%20fall%202005/Men%20Should%20Support%20Gender%20Equality.pdf “The feminist transformation of society is a revolution-in-progress. For nearly two centuries, we men have met insecurity by frantically shoring up our privilege or by running away. These strategies have never brought us the security and the peace we have sought. Perhaps now, as men, we can stand with women and embrace the rest of this revolution\emdash embrace it because of our sense of justice and fairness, embrace it for our children, our wives, our partners and ourselves. Today, we men are also coming to realize that gender equality is in our interests as men; that we will benefit from gender equality. That gender equality holds out a promise of better relationships with our wives, with our children and with other men. Nearly a century ago, an American writer wrote an essay called “Feminism for Men.” Its first line was this: Feminism will make it possible for the first time for men to be free”

Don’t engage in selective inattention and denial about this. Prepare yourself well in advance for active marches, sit-ins, renunciations of the election, consumer boycotts and strikes, especially if (we believe, when) Romney “wins”. Tell the cashier why and tell them to show their employers, and tell them you are engaging in a consumption slowdown until gender parity/5050 gender balance is achieved
10, Kindly but firmly temporarily Retire as Emeritus (tell them you do not feel they are leading the way women in Europe and Africa are and this is not acceptable) Women (and fire/resign Men) Leaders and Journalists who don’t focus on gender parity NOW. Find leaders for these times/become one yourself, ready to focus on gender parity NOW, and if you publically advocate 5050/gender parity NOW, call yourself a Co-President or Co-Secrerary General.

Dangerous Women (Why Some Women Endanger the World – including themselves – by Hesitating to Enact their Gender’s Overdue 5050)
Viewpoints of Progressive and Independent Women (and Men)

A Section of the Whole Reality, Dangerous Men, Dangerous Women, how both Men and Women perpetuate Patriarchy instead of Gender Balance, now causing Immanent Danger to Planet Earth

Many places on Earth already have 5050, protecting women, children and famlies, justice, the environment and peace on planet already endangered by millennia of domination culture.   The world will very soon self destruct without it. Why do not only some men, but some women so dangerously hesitate and fail to speak up for it?

“Patriarchy has no gender.”
- Bell Hooks, Teaching Critical Thinking: Practical Wisdom
http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/tag/patriarchy

Patriarchy is not men. Patriarchy is a system in which both women and men participate. It privileges, inter alia, the interests of boys and men over the bodily integrity, autonomy, and dignity of girls and women. It is subtle, insidious, and never more dangerous than when women passionately deny that they themselves are engaging in it. – Ashley Judd

In large part, many, way too many men perpetuate patriarchy, while enjoying the upside (there is a terrible downside as well, for men) the dominance of their own gender, by simply mindlessly ignoring the issues of women, and leaving it “up to the women” to fix them on their own. A few “powerful men”, CEOs and politicians, are deliberately selectively ignoring women’s situation and exploiting women’s needs and issues willfully, and coopting women to teach other women to ignore many of their own issues to while “granting” them superficial marginal progress and respect that conceals deep disrespect and domination/hierarchy underneath. Both of these behaviors of men have a devastating effect on women, and have ripple effect which result in great injustices of men toward each other, toward children and toward the Planet Earth, which we have written about in an essay for men that addresses their situation in this. The situation of the genders is very interactive, both within each gender and between the genders. In this section, however, we will focus on women themselves, and what is going on with American women that has stalled their own progress, and made them their nation and their world so vulnerable to and tolerant of the most dominating and seductively destructive of men in its political “leadership, especially in not just one, but both major parties.

US “Leaders” and “Followers” with Various Levels of (Terminal?) Internalized Primative Patriarchy

The following women have become dangerous to themselves and others – their whole world, and here is what women must find the strength to do about them:
Women Must Never Call Ann Romney First Lady and Never Call Her Husband President
Women Must Stop Calling Jill Jacobs Biden Second Lady and Joe Biden Vice-President and insist Joe Resign NOW in Favor of a Woman. instead of running for reelection
Women Must insist that Hillary Hallowell Rodham Clinton, Michelle Shields Robinson Obama, Jill Jacobs Biden, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Mary Landrieu, Barbara Mikulski, Debbie Stabenow, Amy Klobuchar, Claire McCaskill, Claire McCaskill, Kirsten Gillibrand. Kay Hagan, Kay Bailey Hutchison,Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Kelly Ayotte, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Nancy Pelosi, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Nancy Pelosi and Jan Shakowsky (head of Congressional Women”s Caucus), and media once leaders who have lost touch – Oprah, Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Christiane Amanpour, Diane Sawyer, and way too many others, either publically demand gender parity and a woman on the ticket NOW and REvolutionarily transform the “election” NOW. optimally during or immediately after the Democratic Convention, postpone the election which their endorsed candidate is surely going to lose without a woman on the ticket, or decide to understand why we must call them Presidents Emeritus and insist they take a Sabbatical from public life and use the rest time to read or reread both the Chalice and the Blade and If Women Counted (see below), while we boycott “the election” and demand the 86% patriarchal male Congress resign,’which in the 92nd year since women were “granted ” the vote. ranks 92nd in the world in representation of women, to be replaced by an at least gender 5050 Congress and an Chief-Executive that includes at least one woman. Women must tell Stephanie Shriock (Emily’s List), Terry O’Neill, Bonnie Grabenhofer (NOW), Nancy Keenan. (NARAL), Cecile Richards, Cecilia Guthrie Boone (Planned Parenthood) and possibly other officers of many women’s organizations to take a Sabbatical starting immediately call themselves retired or on Sabbatical “Presidents Emeritus, but ignore their premature and women’s power-undermining endorsement advice on the “election”, because it is causing a regression that is a deep slide back into patriarchy instead of gender balance of parity and Immanently Endangers not only women’s progress, but family life, the economy, peace, and the Earth. Althougn they will not get enough votes to win, Jill Stein and Cheri Honkala and particularly Roseanne Barr and Cindy Sheehan are standing up as women. Hillary Clinton and her party crippled herself into bait and switch that betrayed millions of supporters female and male /delayed her into not 2016 but never, and gave no insistence on any other Democratic woman instead of the man as usual, if she was not able. As Secretary of State with enormous clout, she nevertheless endorsed a Cabinet without the balance that many European countries have. The result is certain disaster for Obama. He simply will not win as a lone male, with no public commitment to full women’s representation, which is urgently needed to save the economy for the middle and lower classes, and save the Earth.

Currently, American women must look to Europe and Africa for politically officed and major organizational role models on gender partnership and elections. These women have set timely goals, on representation, and on family/work balance (family leave) and on other issues, that have already been substantially achieved. It has now become imperative for US Women, lead by progressives and Independents who see that the Democratic Party is failing, to Publically Demand Gender Parity NOW and Think for Themselves, instead of acting like female primatives or lemmings, following both dominant men and dominant but tokenized and complacent-in-the-face of immanent threat women over the ultimate cliff for the fall from which the Planet will never recover.

But Several REvolutionary Declarations wrought by Women of the Occupy Movement, encouraged by several men, Declared on and Around July 4th, have shortened the horizon to gender parity for Americans to 2013. which is needed now, or the great environmental and economic crash will begin, and by 2020, all women will have is the most helpless regrets over what they failed to do sooner..

But, (if they weren’t covertly infiltrated by a process in which powerful men prescreened women candidates/officeholders/top leaders of organizations, to pick women who would never completely untie the shackles of patriarchy/male domination instead of equal partnership, and would deliberately lead other women not to do so, and we are not a conspiracy theorist here, but that is possible) what psychological processes have caused the failure of so many US women’s organizations to lead the way European, Latin American and African women have, and to allow them to fall from a rank of 50th in 2000 (already way behind) to a rank of 92, http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm to occur in the first place?

There is a psychological phenomenon called selective inattention: selective inattention, the screening out of unwanted stimuli, particularly the part of a message the listener does not want to hear.

There is another stronger word for it:
denial Etymology: L, denegare, to negate
1 refusal or restriction of something requested, claimed, or needed, often causing physical or emotional deficiency 2 an unconscious defense mechanism in which emotional conflict and anxiety are avoided by refusal to acknowledge those thoughts, feelings, desires, impulses, or facts that are consciously intolerable. http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Denial+%28psychology%29

Relevant HerandHistory:
In the year 1984, the US was given the choice of a ticket with a man and woman (Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and a ticket of two men (Ronald Reagan\par and George Bush Sr, and they chose, including many women, the ticket of the two men. Since then, it has lost much of its middle class.
In 1987, Riane Eisler wrote The Chalice and The Blade: Our History, Our Future, hailed by anthropologist Ashley Montagu as “the most important book since Darwin’s Origin of Species.” Though it sold over over 200,000 copies in 4 years, and advocates a culture of gender partnership http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riane_Eisler Riane Eisler has never been interviewed on “major television”, not even by Oprah, and the majority of Americans, including women, never heard of her

In 1988, Marilyn Waring wrote “If Women Counted” The book argues that mainstream economics does not account for women’s work, nor for the value of nature. The book made a significant contribution by making the analysis of this topic known to a large audience. But she has never been interviewed on US TV and most Americans have never heard of her. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_Women_Counted
In the year 1988, the United States had only a token number of women in the Congress, while Sweden was already at about 35% http://www.db-decision.de/CoRe/Sweden.htm http://petticoatpolitics.blogspot.com/2007/12/sweden-ranked-1-in-2007-gender-gap.html Sweden’s government, where all parties voluntarily enforce 5050 zipper tickets on their election tickets, is now 47%-52% female, while the US is at 16%.

In the year 2000, the US was given choices of tickets with a woman and a man: Ralph Nader and Winona Laduke of the Green Party , Rachelle OneFamily Miller and Hjalmer Wayne Erickson of the We All Win Campaign as Write-ins, and many other women ran as Write-Ins.

Totally uninformed by media about the UN Beijing Guidelines for Women and ignoring the fact that Canada and other countries had had women Executives by then, Americans chose a ticket with two men, Al Gore and Joseph Lieberman, but more men, on the Supreme Court, chose other men, George Bush and Dick Cheney, and other men, like Bill Clinton and Joseph Biden, their wives, including Hillary, the women of the Senate, who would not honor the gender balanced black caucus’ objection, and CEOs of American Media induced most of 300 million Americans to accept this decision, giving them 8 years of an in fact unelected President and Vice-President.
In 2004, Carol Mosely Braun ran for President in the Primary, but received no support from Hillary Clinton and other prominent Democratic women, let alone men, including Barack Obama, who took her seat in the Senate, leaving minority women with no US Senator, with no Democratic Party comment on that. Again, a ticket of rwo men Kerry and unfaithful husband Edwards were chosen, and they actually won the “election”, as Gore and Lieberman won in 2000. But under a politics with women’s ethical judgement marginalized, it is generally the bigger better bully who “wins”, so Bush-Cheney were deemed the “winners” by Corporate Media.
Recently, the embarrassing and shameful truth began to come out.
http://www.alternet.org/newsandviews/article/825471/the_16_percenters:_female_leadership_is_stalled_and_going_backwards

The proposed 2012 election will still leave American women with about 16% women in office, if all the women running “win” in this 1% money driven auction. This will leave American women (and fair men) with less gender balance than Afghanistan, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates. If this “election” is deemed valid there will again be an 86% male Congress, with even worse percentages in many States, only 6 women Goverrnors, and plenty Republicans elected to overturn and undermine abortion laws in most States, no matter which Presidential candidate is chosen. In addition, if the public legitimizes this election, the roster of mostly men will continue to ignore family leave, attack abortion rights, maintain or increase the military budget enflaming nuclear proliferation and the likelihood of a nuclear attack by North Korea or Iran become insane due to their own gender imbalances, continue to give huge tax breaks to the mostly wealthy, continue to allow Dow Jones CEOs to earn 550-2500 times what the average man (let alone woman whose work at home is completely uncreditted) earns and will continue to use the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) instead of the GPI (Genuine Progress Indicator), which values work at home and Nature, and will undertake the Keystone Pipeline and continue genetic engineering of crops, which is already killing bees and butterflies, against the objection of every major environmental group, and turn every Internet post into the object of surveillance and interception, foreclose on, make homeless and incarcerate millions of Americans, while loading the Internet with even more pop-up ads and audio intrusions. This brew will simply destroy any balance in social civilization, the environment, the economy and peace. It will, in our own lifetimes (let alone our children), destroy the Earth.

Most American women are literate. Most know how to use a search engine on the Internet. What are the psychological and sociological factors of internalized patrriachy that make millions of American women unable to find http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm, induce and compel them to accept an “election” that poses such obvious and overwhelming threat

About Interactively, Internalized and Externally Maintained Patriarchy:

Passive Internalized Patriarchy and the Unconscious and Overwhelming need for a Father Figures
Many American women grow up in homes where their fathers are so busy working and entertaining themselves with sports in their free time, that they have little time to spend with children, especially daughters. Other women are children of divorce, and separated from their fathers. These women grow up father-hungry, and too willing to follow men who they perceive as “powerful” and are unable to hold men accountable for misdeeds, which these women perpetually overlook, at great ‘destruction to their own empowerment and self-esteem. They are willing, like NARAL,which endorsed Obama over Hillary Clinton, and now, NOW (who clearly have betrayed their own name, passively tolerating the US rank of 92nd in representation for women) and too many other single issue obsessed groups, (usually pro or anti abortion/reproduction, condoms vs abstinence), willing to endorse Obama-BIden, or Romney-Ryan.They do so without holding these men accountable for even talking about 5050 (which would allow sound compromises on abortion, where the majority of women who are pro-choice but pro not treating women as sexual objects, too would prevail) amidst alarmingly frequent bankruptcies and poverty among women, all to follow political men who easily seduce them with pandering, promises, and a few “victories” like “fighting for” abortion rights in a male decision-making context, instead of 5050, which would better protect abortion as well as the right to a surviving and just world . These once thought leading and feminist women are acting like sheep following bull Rams. They don’t seem to realize that the failure to focus on the overdue 5050 now is giving men, especially men in power, a confusing message: that women themselves think they are incapable of, not ready for, and don’t want equal leadership NOW! Millions of American women and billions worldwide will beg to differ with this covert message). Instead of replacing Biden with a woman and getting 5050, these coopted, manipulable women are practicing selective inattention and denial about the unacceptability of 16% women in Congress and no female in the Executive. Similarly in the case of Republican women like Ann Romney, she is willing to accept a materially comfortable and overindulged life for herself and her sons (apparently her body, which developed MS, could not produce any daughters), but ignoring representation that would give all other women and their children a fairer material life, and sustainable earth as well. She practices a religion which does not ordain women, but her real religion is patriarchy/oligarchy, which requires selective inattention and denial so that Ann Romney can cope with her own life adjustment, which may be a stress factor in her getting MS.

Problems in their Relationship to their Own Mothers that make them either reject/overidealize Titular Organizational Heads and Tokens Because we have been and are still living in patriarchy instead of balance, many mothers are perceived by children to be less powerful, and therefore, less desirable as role models, than men. Some women have overintense and conflictual relationships with their mothers, in part because their fathers were either absentee emotionally, or undermined their mother’s authority. Nevertheless, children need and love their Mothers. Women who regard women as second to men, choose women or become women “leaders” who regard most women as second to men; women who are willing to fight for a few causes or a few women, but generally accept and retain a secondary status. As Paula Xanthapoulou has written in her book and blog, Stephanie Shriock of Emily’s List, who expends millions to raise money for less than 16%, a token handful, and never publically demands 5050, is a good example. In fact the whole organizational separations of women who fight for abortion rights, women’s rights to paid work but selectively don’t attend to the value of unpaid work, child and family leave and Mother Nature, women who work for peace but not equal representation, women who work for the environment but do not insist on equal representation, women who select a few goals, but not all these goals at once, are examples of this millennially induced “settling” for second class status, as well. N.O.W. an organization that has made a mockery of its name by letting “powerful” men delay their limited goals since the 1980′s, for example, has never asked for 5050, and only occasionally pushes for marginal family leave, but never at the 2-3 year level of what is already available in 178 countries, especially Europe’s. women. Shriock and NOW defensively ignore any honest criticism from women, and practice selective inattention and denial. Yet, millions of American women rely on these organizations websites to provide/filter their information about women and politics, much like the milllion who passively rely on TV for all their information. Way to many of these websites fail to even mention that the US is ranked 92nd, and provide no link to http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm

Co-Optation/Aggressive Prominent Enabling: Gaining Token Level Status among Men While While Disempowering Most Women
Hillary Hallowell Rodham Clinton suffers from this, too, but at a more intense level. She received so many votes she could easily have demanded the Vice/Co Presidency,’but instead she demurred and actively promoted Biden instead of herself or any other woman, in the same mindset that once made her work for Barry Goldwater. Instead, she took the role of Secretary of State, for which she received much respect and a high salary, but she never talks about 5050 or even the UN Beijing Guideline for Women of 30% by 2000, made no comment about Obama’s Cabinet with less than 20% women, and, along with her husband, accepts CEOs with salaries 500-2500 time the average (male) worker, without comment or objection, Hillary perceived her mother to be far less powerful than her father, and lets her once philandering husband and “powerful” CEO patriarchs dictate her course and timing, which is now, too late, until she overcomes her internalized patriarchy and publically insists on 5050. Michelle Shields Robinson Obama clearly admired her father more than her mother, and was closer to him. She exhorts us to help military families, but doesn’t tell us that the US is the only one of 178 countries that doesn’ t have paid family leave, let alone the three years that German women have. As First Lady, she enjoys great status. But American black women are fairing the very worst in the US hierarchy, and Michelle (as her husband) has not openly advocated for 5050 and full minority representation on their behalf, for this election. Unlike Sylviane Agacinski in France, Sonia Gandhi of India, and Julie Morgan of Wales and the Women of Sweden and Rwanda who inspired their husbands and men in leadership to enact gender parity, both Hillary and Michelle could not overcome their internalized patriarchy enough to do this , even though they enjoy high status. As role models, they are misleading 150 million Americans to hesitate to insist on dangerously overdue gender parity.A relative handful of token corporate women achieve a token high status amidst mostly male Boards of Directors, and instead of asking for 40% or 5050 in the Corporate Executive with caps on salaries as exists and is being actively discussed in Europe , these women identify with male role models and fail to ask for the family leave work and family balance for themselves (Marissa Mayer) or their female employees. Essentially, the Democrats/(Dempublicans at top who rule the party), have become the lying seductive unfaithful boyfriends (I won’t dignify them by calling them husbands), while the Republican have become the rapists of women’s rights. Is that what women should choose between for themselves and their daughters?

That’s what happened to a culture that delays on gender parity for so long. Amny Siskind of the New Agenda rightfully calls it Gender Armageddon, and although she hasn’t said it yet, we will here: it is the underlying precursor and cause to a bloody Armageddon power-drunk men with nuclear weapons and environmental Armageddon, which occurs when women are silenced and marginalized. Some large women’s organization heads also enjoy pretty hefty salaries, and collect dues from other women to pay themselves, while never standing up for gender parity as an urgently overdue necessity, which achieved, might diminish their status as spokespersons, or even put them out of business. Have large women’s organizations become like middle managers who block rather than assist change? One doesn’ t like to think that powerful men patriarchs and oligarchs deliberately infiltrated the women’s movement with covert betrayers. We are not conspiracy theorists, but there is no way to know. Some womens’ organizations have many women in them who were sexually abused, raped by husbands or fathers, and may be so overfocussed on reproductive protection that they cannot focus on anything else, even it would help their unicause. But in any case, in the 12 midnight year of the new Millennium, women’s “leaders” who cannot find the strength to say Gender Parity Now, need to go on Sabbatical immediately, and acknowledge they are doing something very different from what Nordic, European, African, Indian and many Latin American women, including First Spouses, have done already. Their hesitations and self-induced clinging acceptance of patriarchy instead of balance is endangering the whole world, even themselves and their husbands, because it is an outmoded, immanently unsustainable paradigm.

Before the Taliban, women in Aghanistan represented about 50% of the medical doctors and 40% of the government officials. So, [when] a meeting was set up of the warlords to determine who would be in the transitional government, …A U.N. official told me that eventually one of the warlords said, “All right. We’ll have the same percentage of women as there are in the U.S. Congress.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/893825/postsThus, the the Dempublican level of representation of women in Congress is the perfect co-optation for Corporate warlords http://smashesthep.wordpress.com/tag/co-optation/ and tokenization of women, to keep other women in line and misled, by specially privileged “leading” women, away from asking for their due, full representation. It is the lead-up to a return to overt and unreformed patriachy, when the Earth simply can’t take it anymore, and will cause Nature to turn on humanity itself if this is allowed and legitimiized. These women, coopted and fearful of men under the surface, are directly misleading and disempowering other women from 5050, in order to maintain their own special status as “leaders”, and have become identified with the aggressor. In some families, older children dominate younger children, because older children, who most intensely feel the power imbalance of parents, often identify more with fathers than mothers. Because of their greater comfort with controlling other, some rise to the leadership of organizations. Some of these women may also have that problem, too, as do the women, some too adjusted to a younger sibling role who follow them blindly. These are very dangerous women

Too Many American Women (and Men) have not Discovered the Goddess, the Spiritual Aspect of Female (and Wholistic Male) Empowerment
The Hindu culture, with its 800 million people, female and male, (about 3 times the population as the US) has a GoddessGod concept of the Universe. They have 5050 and full minority representation in every village, and started this officially in 1993. The Chinese have Yin-Yang and Quan Yin/Tara. but the Chinese Revolution was male-dominated, and, impacted by the influential US, they are choosing money over social well-being, but that would change if the US set a better model In fact, all religions are recovering a concept of the Divine Eternal Feminine. Christians have rediscovered both Mary Magdalen and Mary the Madonna in a new way, and Jews have rediscovered the Shekinah. But many American religions have become retarded in this rediscovery of what ancient civilizations knew, and for a much longer period, than patriarchal religions. Most Americans were raised in the Christian faith, but do not practice Jesus and Mary Magdalen’s teachings that female and male are equal in importance and spiritual endowment, because long ago, Christianity was co-opted into becoming a state religion of patriarchal emperors, and then adopted practices of male domination. Still, large numbers of Americans of all religious heritages have rediscoverd the Goddess aspect of the Eternal Force via books like Merlin Stone’s When God was a Woman, and films like the Goddess Remembered, about long lasting ancient cultures that worshipped the Goddess. Yet, ironically, very few of our organizational or political women (and men) have the courage to speak of it, even though Elizabeth Cady Stanton who first demanded the vote, started the process in the with the Woman’s Bible in the 1800s. The Statue of LIberty is a depiction of the Goddess aspect of the Almighty, critically necessary for democracy and the well being of humanity. Yet, surprisingly few Americans grasp and talk about that. It is a case of selective inattention, and even denial, of what is so obviously apparent yet simultaneously invisibilized and silenced, like the last scene of Planet of the Apes, where the woman is incapable of speech, and leaving the anguished man alone to deal with the results of men’s aggressive instincts with no saving female voice or balance.

The Sociological Community – The Role of the CEOs and Media, especially Women in the Media in Perpetuating World-Threatening Patriarchy
Riane Eisler whose book The Chalice and the Blade was deemed by anthropologist Ashley Montagu the most important since Darwin’s Origin of the Species, and Marilyn Waring, author of If Women Counted, the most important world leaders and writers of the late twentieth century and New Millennium, have never been on US TV. US Corporate TV and its highest Content Censors are still overwhelmingly mostly overpaid male and often sit on boards of banks and other large corporations, with a few tokenized females. But many female journalist reporters have also been making the mistakes of ignoring the advances of many examples in the world toward and reaching 5050, full family leave, universal health care, adherence to women’s and environmental treaties of the UN, for a long time now, and not making any mention of gender imbalance, and domestic violence against women, as underlying causes, when they report on civil wars and war culture. These women, almost like the self-centered Ted Knight character on the old Mary Tyler Moore show, have somehow kept themselves ignorant of progress occurring all around the world, almost everywhere, but here.

Several years ago, I contacted a woman journalist who was a high schoolmate of mine who I had not seen in many years but who once knew me pretty well, who was very active in covering the races of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, to visit the website, and meet with me to discuss women and the media. Apparently enamored of her high salary and the status she receives as a nationally syndicated reporter, she told me she was too busy to look at the website and not interested, and rejected several invitations to meet. I sent her emails, which she ignored. I gave up. While some women journalists have begun to surface the lack of US women’s representation as a problem, this journalist still writes her daily blogs and makes TV appearances without mentioning it, let alone presenting it as a causative factor in the ills of the US and world. She is practicing selective inattention and denial, and I have concluded she, like many women, preferred her Daddy to her Mommy, and just won’t grow up. Laura Flanders, who herself still needs to do more on the issue, exposed the role of Christiane Amanpour of censoring in order to please male media bosses, in her interview with Eygptian feminist Revolutionary, Naddal el Sadawi. This is not just true of US TV, When progressive Tom Hartmann did a segment showing Desmond Tutu at the Davos Economic Summit calling for a Revolution by the world’s women, he asked his station mate on RT, Lauren Lister, who reports on economic issues, her opinion. She almost ignored the question, and went on to pratttle on about the opinions of male economists who were taking no note of women’s contributions to world wealth. She clearly never heard or ignores the works of Marilyn Waring, Hazel Henderson, Bernard Lietaer who has spoken of the need to bring the Divine Feminine into economics, or the Genuine Progress Indicator. Did Lauren Lister feel her father was more powerful and identify with him more than her mother? Is RT headed in the same direction as US TV. Alyona, another woman on the Channel, recently had her show cancelled.Although she commented progressively on many issues, Alyona never once spoke of gender parity. Did this ommission come back to haunt her? Russia, like the US, has a dysfunctional women’s movement, very accepting of patiarchy, with minor outbursts like Pink Lady but no demand for gender parity. As a result, Russia is ruled by a few powerful men and Corporations, and like the US, ranks very low on representation of women, and is severely endangering its own environment. The problem is not completely unique to the US, but the US is at the center of it, as it is the most influential culture in the world. If we don’t change our ways now (and we only have two months left to do so), Russia and China won’t either, and there you have it, the end of the Planet Earth. Women TV journalists who aren’t whistleblowing about the CEOs salaries and their editorial control of their own industry and aren’t taliking about gender parity and the counting of eomen’s paid and unpaid work both, and the value of Nature and Peace, in every broadcast about this “Election” and every broadcast about the “Economy”, are very very Dangerous Women, the most Dangerous Women of All by their daily sins of ommission.

These tendencies also exist in many workplaces. The females may make up large percentages of the staff, but they are poorly paid, while their male CEOs earn millions. For reasons pertaining to the psychological disempowerment described above, these women do not act as Norma Rae did, do not stand up with the courage of one, that leads to the ability organize to go on strike, fearing they will not be able to remain employed, and gain the needed funds to support their children, Ironically, this passivity now directly threatens their children’s rights to a livable Planet.

Given this psychological and sociological vise of internalized and socially reinforced patriarchy, too many American women are engaging in practices which reveal their status as second class citizens, disempowering themselves but also disempowering other women, mostly to fit in with men they perceive as powerful. It is a self=fulfilling prophecy to reinstall full force patriarchy in the form of Big Brother, that will quickly destroy (and be destroyed) by the Earth.

Scores of studies show that women are tougher on women than men are; that women treat female leaders with less respect and support than they do male leaders; that women tend to reject work submitted by other women twice as many times than the same work submitted by men. Is this also occurring in the willingness to accept “government work” by men. Are some women having trouble respecting themselves and each other enough to call for overdue gender parity? This is the most dangerous level for this tendency to occur, it is a destroyer of democracy, and ultimately, NOW, a destroyer of humanity and the Earth. It makes everyday American women, who mindlessly accept an imbalanced election withour respecting themselves and other women enough to call for parity NOW, very dangerous women. Armed with a pseudovote that will disempower themselves disempower each other, overempower the most sociopathic of men, and dangerous.

The lag in achieving gender parity in the US has devastating effects on women and girls. It is like a hologram or a hydraulic pump, failure at the “top” of the society – the level or representational government – causes failures at the “lower’ levels of society: more wife abuse and domestic violence, more rape, more sexual trafficking and female slavery, low self esteem in girls especially teenagers, and in other countries, reinvigorates fundamentalist misogyny, the forced wearing of the veil, (too often promoted by patriarchy habituated women in some places), sweat shops, the return to preventing women from attending school. It also causes the most dominating men to rise to the “top” coopting and also oppressing the greater mass of men, who are increasingly forced to live at economic bottoms as well. Women who take a pass on focussing on gender parity, whether intentionally or not, have become not only their own, but, along with men who also ignore gender parity, their own, everyone elses and the world’s worst enemy. Everyone knows the phrase “Evil flourishes when good men do nothing.” In the New Millennium which must be a transformation or will die, women (and men) who cannot focus on gender parity now, at all levels, wittingly or not, have become the Plenet’s worst enemy.

http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/sapient-nature/201103/are-women-their-own-worst-enemies
“What all this suggests: Even as most women feel strongly about championing their own cause, they may also be undermining their cause in somewhat subtle ways (see this book and this Time article for related views). If so, an important element in the women’s movement would be to recognize this tendency explicitly, and to find ways of overcoming it.”

Therefore, we propose the following ways of “overcoming this tendency” , in a REvolutionary Way:

1.Spread the REvolutionary Declarations born of those Women (supported by men) of the Occupy Movement/Independent Progressive Women, that have publically Declared and Demanded gender parity/5050 gender balance.
http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/DeclarationofbyandforWomen.html
http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/DeclarationTransformUNandIPU.html
http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/DeclarationTransformUS.html and one to help the Occupy Movement really fulfill its goals at
http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/TransformOccupy.html
2. Demand a Constitutional Convention in 2013 that is Gender Balanced (and minority representative) and income representative
3. Boycott the “Election” (this is very hard for many women; they are so afraid of Romney-Ryan that they don’t face that the “election: will bring in so many\par Republicans, elected by an ill-informed electorate, that their rights will be destroyed anyway, no matter who “wins” the Presidential auction. At least don’t engage in selective inattention and denial about this. At least pressure Biden to resign, and give his candidacy fo a woman; many women are not voting or voting for Roseanne Barr and Cindy Sheehan, or Jill Stein and Cheri Honkela, Obama and many Democrats will almost certainly lose without a woman on his ticket and public commitment to gender parity. Prepare yourself to renounce the election with active marches, sit-ins, protests, consumer boycotts and strikes, especially if (we believe, when) Romney “wins”.
Several Boycotters are women: Terri Li who got it going, Kate of Kate-Will-Revolt, Rita Winter, and Rajchelle OneFamily Miller, AThere links are available at

Two Boycotters, a woman, Rachelle OneFamily Miller and a man, Bahram Maskanian, an evironmentalist, have indicated the lack of women candidates with public funding/patriarchal immanent endangerment of the Planet as the main or a major reason to rebel, and there are certainl many more related to ity:

Turn Off You Television and alert journalists you will not watch any TV until they individually and collectively cover the need for gender parity NOW, for this “election”. 5. Make calls to Media CEOs office and tell them that as far as you are concerned, they are fired. Send them, and any corporate crediitors Invoices fot what they owe you, all women and the world. http://thesacredaccounting.webs.com/HerandHisSacredInvoice.pdf 6. Reduce spending and engage in a consumption Lysistrata http://www.oocities.org/global_lysistrata/global_lysistrata.html (the website is a little out of date; Use a standard of 5050 for US corporations) until gender parity is achieved. If you engage in a March or protest, put “5050 Representation NOW” or “Gender Parity NOW” and “Balance Love and Work” on your sign. 7.If you are married or dating and your husband or boyfriend, or brother, or father, has done nothing to help women gain parity, give him a copy of http://arkearthinbalance.webs.com/DangerousMen.html and warn him clearly that that lack of women in office will cause economic collapse, environmental collapse, famine and eventually world war. 8. Guard yourself against “women’s worst enemies are ourselves” tendencies to isolate, delay or undermine women who are working on gender parity. Support anyone, male or female who is working on gender parity. Gender Parity is the only way to Save the Earth. 9. Remember that family work balance and economic indices like the GPI (Genuine Progress Indicator) are also gender balance. Print out and use GPI symbolic money that you use with every, or simply use drymark to a female sign (circle with cross under it) next to the lone male pictured on US Bills, at every transaction. http://soularsolar.webs.com/aboutgendertender.html Tell the cashier why and tell them to show their employers, and tell them you are engaging in a consumption slowdown until gender parity/5050 gender balance is achieved 10, Kindly but firmly temporarily Retire (tell them you do not feel they are leading the way women in Europe and Africa are and this is not acceptable) Women (and fire/resign Men) Women “Leaders” and Journalists who don’t focus on gender parity NOW., including presentation of all the places in the world that already have 5050 and where women (and men) are demanding it. Call Women Leaders who are unable to address this publically, “Co-Presidents Emeritus”, but replace them by telling them to take a Sabbatical, and find leaders for these times/become one yourself, ready to focus on gender parity NOW, and call yourself a Co-President or Co-Secrerary General. If you are a member of a woman’s organization, demand that their website prominently display the fact and link that in the 92nd year since women were “granted” the vote, the US ranks 92nd (counting ties) in representation of women/balance of gender, less than Iraq, Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates, http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm and not one major politician or their wife has even mentioned it, and dangerously are note focussing on it. Their members have a right to know this.

We are sympathetic to the effects of Millennia of Patrarchy on Women, even on once thought now so-called Women’s Leaders. It does slow them down and makes them their own and toher women’s worst enemies. But NOW THE WHOLE PLANET IS AT STAKE. Instead of laying down like someone waiting to be raped and letting her daughter be raped, too, and accepting the regressing status quo, millions of American Progressive and Independent women will be Just Saying No to Both Major Parties, and millions will not vote, by choice. Say to those so willing to say yes to the first and second man who comes along, that We, the Women of America, are the Real Presidents and CoPresidents (without Vice), and this time, no men only need apply. 11.. Learn about the Goddess, as she is emerging in Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, native and Earth religions, and has always existed in Hinduism, and realize if you are a woman, you have strong aspects of the Goddess, embody the Statue of Liberty, and men who care about women in their efforts at humankindness and fairness, are also blessed by this Aspect of the Almighty, indeed, both Aspects too because the Male Aspect of the Almighty was never a Sexist, and has always appreciated and fully Valued as Equally Important, the Goddess Aspect.
